The conspiracy theorist in me cant help but note that the timing just doesnt make sense unless its to actually kill off the little momentum that only the clubs have managed to create with zero help from the FA to appease something else!
 
He claims that the clubs gave been refunded. Can someone connected to one of the foundations clubs confirm that the refund has been received. That will prove one way or another

Well that's the problem with FA's silence and NDAs, you'll be waiting forever for any sort of statement or announcement from FA, or maybe just waiting for more silence. They don't help themselves. And you can't wait for media reports either, because we don't have any media remaining!

This is what ive heard is in the letter

There are multiple sources confirming this and contradicting it from people in a position to know. First need to find if it is true. If it is we need to organize
 
Stupid idea to begin with. Give us a 2nd league with promotion to A league, or don't give us anything at all.
 
How frustrating to see all these clubs invest time, money and resources into preparing for this new competition to have it thrown back in their faces. This is self sabotage.

Why would anyone bother to get involved in Australian football when you have administrators clearly focused on their own self interests and not what is right for the game.

If the rumour is true that they are contractually required to run the competition for 2 years, then they’ll run it on a shoe string budget to avoid getting sued by foundation clubs.

Australian football is not just A League. It’s all the 700+ clubs across this country.

The response i got from the high up authorities at Sydney United is.

"EOIs only just recently got submitted. All foundation clubs are getting their $500k bonds back as agreed. What he believes from those comments is, moving away from the champions league format into a proper league format. The FA have given themselves 2 years to sort that out"

That would be more like how I see it. I find it hard to believe that the EOIs submitted just a few days ago, FA took one glance at them already and said, "Nah".

And how bad is it that when FA actually has a rare communication, it's so poorly communicated that no one knows WTF it all means. Either that or the presidents are thick as, but history shows the former to be true.

This third NST RFP process was expanded to target clubs outside of the initial Expression of Interest process and predominantly from underrepresented States and Territories. At the conclusion of this process, Football Australia did not receive any fully compliant bid proposals
