The Australian Championship 🇦🇺🏆

Maybe remove your rose tinted specs as well.

Look the more that attend football in this country, the better. But on both sides telling fibs, does the sport no good at all.

That ground has only 800 seats all facing the camera and looked fullish. But where was the 4,500 on the other three sides of the ground.
I suggest glasses in general or perhaps a visit to atleast 1 of the grounds you have so far commented as an expert on match after match. I will again question your actual reason for being on this thread when all we ve seen regarding your interaction here it to call crowd numbers fake continuously.... hmmm, its strange that what AL announces remains gospel for you however, bc you dont do the same there... wonder why that is?

At the game and was expecting it to be high 4800 to 5100ish. Lines were long - consistently ~200 people behind the main stand waiting for food, drinks; and quite a lot of people missed kick-off. Whilst there's ~800 seats on the eastern side there's plenty of people standing too, plus pavilion members. Give you the benefit of the doubt it's a hard ground to judge attendances at because it is quite open, but not at all unrealistic for the crowd to be announced over 5000.

You hatred is oozing slowly out of you. I only questioned 3, that most people on the socials also did, so I had reason. I also belittle A league crowds as well as Scottish ones, believe it or not.

But if there was genuinely 5300 there, then well done to all who paid their hard earned for attending.

🤣🤣🤣 so 8000 could fit into one side of a ground that liberally holds 6800 people. Enjoy the rest of your session tonight pal.
Might want to check your sources, official capacity ranges from 9-10,000 but as it is mostly an open venue the number can go way higher. Maybe it is the shed than can only hold 6800 people 🤔

Fact is with an open hill it could fit tens of thousands. No definite number. There was legitimately 9000 there for Preston vs South, the grandstand was packed sardine style like games in the 1950's and there was 3 people sitting on each seat etc. Despite the far wing being closed mostly off for security the rest of the open hills were mostly 20 rows deep

Whether it was 4000 or 5000, it’s still a very good crowd. Another great Friday night attendance. That’s 3 weeks in a row of big crowds on a Friday night.

Preston is running out of matches to clinch a spot in the quarter finals. An NWS Spirit win against Canberra Croatia will make things even more complicated.
Yes, for the level the clubs are at, that is a decent attendance.

Looking forward to this Western Sydney double header today. Planning to head to both games.
I think Marconi and Sydney United come away with results, but it won't be easy for either of them. Both Wolves and Metrostars are at risk of letting the comp get away from them if they can't at least be competitive this afternoon.

Did someone say Canberra Croatia?

Our daily reminder that Yoogali SC - a club that Capital Football has kicked out of their NPL for being 'too far to travel to' (despite not finishing last in the league - the usual relegation slot) beat Canberra Croatia (in Canberra!) late in the season, while using 12 of their matchday 18 from their victory over Preston.

5 of the other 6 are post-season signings from across the Capital Football NPL.

Nothing against Canberra Croatia - great club (one of the three in Canberra that have made me feel most welcome over my 15 years here) - but an indictment on Capital Football.
