Summer of Cricket thread

Tassie 232 in reply to 256 with Ward, Chaudhary and Jewell starting but only the now consistent Jake Doran went on to top score. After their opening attack copped a hiding two late wickets has the Tigers well in the game at day two stumps.

Cameron Green wont be happy with his short stay. Aimed a cover drive but the ball has moved late. Not bowling either in this match.

Another century to add to his FC tally..
A 202 run Smith/Patterson partnership has the Blues sitting pretty at stumps, day two. But with the first day lost to rain time is running short for a result. Sorry Blues you dont have the firepower to bowl out the Bulls twice in the time available..

Meredith has their best batsman, Handscomb cheaply. 4-91.

Bowlers have let Kellaway get away now he has a very fine century.

World record run chase sees Australia out.

Great highlights in the video.

Rodrigues was also dropped on 52 and 106, although both of those catches were tougher than the dollie Healy put down on 82.

Catches win matches! I think a changing of the guard is in order for the Stars. Healy, Schutt for starters. Litchfield, Voll, King, Sutherland, Garth, should form the nucleus of a new side with a crop of next genners in Emma de Brough, Maddi Darke, Tess Flintoff , Nicole Faltum, Rachel Trenaman,

Bout time Nathan Lyon took some wickets. Had 0/80 something at stumps yesterday. As expected this game will not bear a result given the first day washout.

Vics declared giving the Tigers a improbable 350 to win on the last day. At lunch it is 284 but Weatherald and Jewell are back in the sheds and it is raining in bleak city so now near impossible for a result.

Tim Ward getting runs again, just posted his 50 with a spanking cover drive. Oh no he is run out. Not sure whose fault it was, but Ward denied plenty more runs as he was batting beautifully.

Can tailenders Bell and Elliott hang tuff for a short while longer to draw the game.
No. Once Ward went unluckily, Silk, Hope and Webster needed to stand up. They amassed a piddling 13 runs, used only 35 balls and probably no more than 30 mins of time between them. The game was lost then.

India floundering under smothering pressure applied by Josh Hazlewood who conceded only a miserly 14 runs from his 4 overs and sent three back to the sheds. Had one dropped, a close LB too.
