Summer of Cricket thread

Sharkman - I get the NSW leg spinner and SA batter/bowler confused.

Which Sangha do you mean for Test selection?

Leg injury.
Been plagued by injury for past season and half, now injured again at start of another season. Is quickly falling down the pecking order for greater honors. Was also wondering why Iain Carlisle has not backed up for this match. Bowled fine last week.

All three matches look like being low scorers on these early season pitches. For example, in the SA/QLD game only two guys, Sangha and McInerney reached 50.

Saw some very entertaining batting from Weatherald 94 and Jewell about 36 yesterday afternoon. Both nearly a run a ball. Then they both got themselves out!

Rocciociolli then got one of the two right handers, Hope or Silk out, who they had tied down, and we left the ground for some craft beer consumption at a local cafe.

Corey R bowls impressively at Bellerive Oval.

The pitch isn’t flat, but it seems when some batters get their eye in, they score quickly.

Kelly for WA has been mooted as a Test bowler in articles I’ve read. Just can’t see it.

Hasket looks good though. Corey R does too.

Weatherald for Tas is supposedly in Test cricket discussion too.

Webster isn’t playing because Crick Aus has asked for him to be rested whilst recovering from his ankle injury.

Cheers - now Richie knows what Lonny relates to.
Richie ofcourse working too much - I got to pay those tax's help hold the country up whilst its sliding down the ladder.

D, the Sandgropers are ripping your mob, no wonder your colleagues are at the bar !
Ha ha!

Fast forward and Sandgropers have been pegged back. It has been a glorious sight watching Sandgropers chasing leather, LFC. Courtesy of Weatherald and Jewell.

It shut up a parochial West Aussie who is a mate of a mate sitting with us!

Lot of wind ATM, but members’ balcony is protected. Still wearing shorts.

Plenty of hot sun and strong wind yesterday, Baggers.
Yep. Deck certainly played better DC. Has Weatheralds 94 landed him a Test debut.

Silk out this morning edging a wide one and triggering a collapse. Needed him and the bowlers to add another 50 to the Tassie score. Is 258 sufficient. Bell badly needs wickets in second innings as yet to open his wicket acct this season.

Bancroft and Goodwin are circumspect.

Bird and Bell bowling tightly.

4 slips.

A few edges not carrying to slips cordon.
