Summer of Cricket thread

As a South Australian resident I am very happy with that result.

Would prefer my home state New South Wales to pull its finger out and get its act together though.
Here here. Brad Haddin will be in charge now and he is a no nonsense person. He wants to push a youth policy too which his predecessors failed to do.

South Australia winning back-to-back Shield titles, bowling Victoria all out for 139 in their second innings on day five of the final to win by 56 runs.
Spiders came from the clouds to win. SACA needs to get serious and start playing more home grown guys as other than Alex Carey and Travis Head this yrs team comprises all interstate imports. Six from my state alone...

I gave up following the Blues two yrs ago because of this, but with Haddin now at the helm and an exciting crop of emerging youngsters I may revert back to them..

DC Kieran Elliot leaves Tassie for WA for 26/7 season which opens the door for Neil-Smith to consolidate his spot in the Tigers attack. With Bird almost retired and Bell 30, TCA needs to be building its future pace attack. Hoping Louis Smith is part of that this season alongside Aidan O'Connor with Hope and Owen relegated to white ball.
