Summer of Cricket thread

Tassie not in great shape at lunch three back in the sheds for under 100 with Weathers top score. Tim unlucky that he found a long armed Gannon after a sweetly timed tho slitely aerial on drive.

Tassie scraped to 239, then Bell struck with three quick wickets and the Warriors were limping at stumps.

A hr into the second day and the West Aussies are a dire 7-91.

A top score of 59 by Jason Sangha has lifted SA to only three behind the Blues 202 midway thru the second day.

Tassie lead now pushing towards 300 thanks to a solid Webster/Silk partnership yesterday.

Looks a bridge too far for the Warriors to knock off the stumps target of 148 with four of their bats back in the sheds..

Has had an up and down career, but Kurtis Patterson looks to have put the Blues in the box seat at the SCG. Ably supported by Tanveer Sangha too.

Diluted in one way with many Indians playing for other nations but Nepal at T20 WC is excellent.

Nepal at T20 WC is excellent.
I recall as saw it live the 2012 U19 WC and Nepal acquitted themselves well. A consistent Associate Member that deserves promotion, but wont have it anytime soon as the ICC is too interested with investing in T20. It is they alone that is killing the global growth of Test cricket.

Tassie Seconds taking on Bulls in Brissie Jon. Louis Smith is playing and asking questions with every ball in his first spell. This kid continues to excite me, his career could well go to the top as he has abundant tapped and untapped natural talent.

Did I drop you this video earlier

Lawrence Neil-Smith is affectionately nicknamed "The Creature". Affectionally, I'd feel insulted. Evidently it comes from the way he 'monsters' the ball with the willow.

Soccer must be occuping your time at moment guys as this part of the forum resembles a grave yard. DC plenty of Tassie games yet you have not ventured on here for a comment. A win in the last shield round over the WA Warriors and yesterday despite hundreds from Webster and Ward Tigers fell in a close one in a Dean Jones game to the same opponent.

I had no idea there was a T20 WC starting now. I'm not a fan of T20 but I'll watch a World Cup and like backing the minnows.

In trouble early against Ireland ffs

4 out for 88
All good in the end with Ellis and Zampa getting us home comfortably. Ireland did give us an early scare . Hope they go further in this tournament, plus play a future Test series against us.

Looks like Steve Smith is on his way to the WC as a replacement for Mitch Marsh
