Straya Day

I think ‘would you wear it to a job interview’ is a good measure stick.

If someone came in for a job interview wearing any flag, it’s (ironically) going to set off a red flag in your head.

What 'behaviour'?

Slagging off bogans dressed in flag capes having a crack at anyone not their colour?

They're fair game if you ask me.
granted yer, as is people with blow up roos at games are fair game and there's also those flag caped types at those games, I bet if your near them high five or acknowledge them if next to you.
Same same no, just saying Muz.
As Mono mentioned to tsf, you do you but I'll avoid the type.

Is it as old as the Portuguese colonial genocide in Mozambique even as recently as the 1970s? Or did you mention Greece for any OTHER particular reason?

The discrimination the aboriginals felt in their own country in the 60s was NO DIFFERENT to that felt by lots of other migrant groups... You dont seem to be demanding Greek or Italians or Croatians have their own representative voice in Parliament and to be able to "handle their own affairs"... shit you dont even want them to have their own soccer clubs...
The Portuguese are one of the worse, they owned the slave trade from Africa, not proud of that.
I brought up the Greeks they have a great history as one of the oldest civilisation. This is celebrated
The Indigenous people in this country is one of the oldest, its hardly mentioned let alone celebrated.
The Greeks, Italian and Croatians were allowed to vote, swim, get education when they emigrated to this country. The indigenous people of this country was not until late 1960s.

I have never stopped the Greeks , Croatian or Italians having their own clubs, never once, just said I didnt want to support them. But we moving away from the issue.

If you can understand why the Dutch can be upset with Germans due to war but not understand why se indigenous people have issues with the white fellas. Its you with the issue.

The premise was that the Dutch are NO LONGER upset with the German fellows mate, thats the point... they (and the Germans) have rightly moved on from the horrors of the past and I think anyone of indigenous ancestry in Australia should do the same.

Not going to debate on who was discriminated against most by anglo-Australia, if we kept the same mentality we ALL (well at least 90% of soccer fans) have a bone to pick with white Australia.

What would be the point? Division of a population purely for the sake of division does nothing for either side but make opportunities for profiteering and exploitation...

Germany continues to do education and remembrance around World War 2 and the Nazis in an effort never repeat the past. Holocaust education is mandatory. Holocaust denial is criminalised.

That's a country that has gone, "we did this, it was bad, we should never do it again. We will honour and respect that past". They continue -to this day- to make reparations and recognition.

Asking people to move one after 200 years of systemic killing and subjugation is quite disgusting. People alive today were part of the stolen generation. You sure as shit do not just 'move on' after being systemically removed from your family and had the Indigenous attempted to be bred and brainwashed out of you.

Not even remotely on the same planet. Being called a wog & following a woggy sport or club to genocide, stolen generation, no Voting rights, no respect to your history, no education, segregation, not allowed to swim, school, work with people because of the colour of your skin in your own country.

Some ethnics are the worst, why should they (Aboriginals get special rights), what about other minorities like the Greeks, Italians, Portuguese & the Croatians. Well simple, it aint your country.

Some either will never or want to understand.

You can take a guess at which demographic of school kids taunt and deny the holocaust on school excursions. It's utter filth. In turn the schools are too scared to discipline the students as the clan bosses then rock up at the gates.

The holocaust and current ME conflicts are mutually exclusive. The fact that you have German school children of ME descent denying the holocaust or saying it was made up or isn't relevant anymore is a massive issue.

Australian kids shrug their shoulders at a lot of the history curriculum but not out of racism but more because of puberty and other interests. I for one enjoyed the history lessons but there was a difference between an eloquent and balanced educator vs some radical teacher who wanted us to feel guilty and spread lies.

People say you link and blame a sibling for their sibling's crime yet you want to spread guilt or blame across an entire society and classes of society? Ridiculous.

What on earth are you on about?

What on earth are you on about?
The mention of German schools educating kids on the holocaust like it's some silver bullet yet muslim students constantly go on these and and will taunt, deny and vilify. It's a massive issue but they're minors so they can't really get into trouble and the schools don't resort to disciplinary measures because the family networks of those kids are involved in organised crime and storm the school the moment their little angel is in trouble. It's mostly in Berlin.
