Straya Day

The cricket?

Nah, there's more dickheads there supporting the opposition team these days.

Last summer against India was an absolute joke.

If you don't like the flag, you know where the nearest airport is.

Aww diddums, did the brown people make you uncomfortable?

If you don't like our legal right to burn the flag then you know where the airport is. I'll pay for your uber.

Comprehension is not your strong suit is it. 'Treason' is not burning the flag as much as you want to froth at the mouth about it.

No single government in Australia, of either persuasion, has ever brought forward a bill to outlaw it BECAUSE it's an important part of our ability to express ourselves. Even in a shithole 3rd world country like the US it's not illegal and they're mental about their flag.
Surely if the flag is made in China you could’ve seen as taking on those commies?

Mate, people like you are why this country has fallen.

You hate this country so much you want to support burning the national flag.

You sir are a disgrace.

Nope,

I'm of the opinion if one migrates to this country then they should 100% support it.

The way I see it regardless of the date changing, it doesnt change history.

Carry on. 🤙

You're right. It doesn't change history. January the 26th was the day they arrived in Australia.

The actual day we became an independent country was January the 1st.

And, even if you don't agree with changing the date, I'm assuming you're smart enough you can understand that some people would be pissed by using the 26th.

'Mate', people like you are why this country has 'fallen'. (It hasn't FWIW.)

You hate this country so much you want to enact fascist laws against freedom of expression. A position on flag burning which, I'll remind you, both sides of government has repeatedly refused to enact laws against.

If you hate this country so much, pack your bags, and fuck off because you 'sir' are a disgrace.

Honestly why are you here if you are a communist cunt?

Time you packed your bags and fucked off to North Korea.

  • Haha
Reactions: Muz
Brought a tear to the eye seeing the march for Australia rally, all the fat slobs and odd bods draped in Chinese made Australian flag merchandise, while ice heads made speeches while reading notes off their phone cause they have no attention span or intelligence, with their jaws clearly gurning from drug abuse. All while sinking low grade pre mix spirits. Was truly touching.

We are, you are. Australians. Happy Australia Day for yesterday everyone

Can't burn the flag in communist countries fella. Perhaps you should pack your bags if you agree with their policies so much.

Why are you here if you hate the country so much?

Are you thick?

If I hated this country I wouldn't be against burning the flag.

Australia is the greatest country on earth and burning our flag should be illegal.

Bet you'd be singing a different tune if some nitwit burned the Aboriginal flag.

Not as thick as someone that thinks we should look to communist countries for guidance on freedom of expression.

Part of my love for this country is the right to freedom of expression and that means putting up with uncomfortable situations and acts that may be distasteful to me or you.

Look up Voltaire who had something quite prescient to say about free speech. You may learn something.

You keep twisting things around.

Burning the national flag is not a freedom of expression and it would get you gaoled in most countries around the world.

The flag is a symbol of the country and burning it shows utter contempt for the country.

If some dingbat burned the Aboriginal flag would you still see that as freedom of expression?

As for the actual flag, ever since it's been co-opted by the Cronulla riot fuckheads, Nazis, One Nation Neanderthals, racists and bogans foaming at the mouth about immigrants it's become a national embarrassment.

Ever wonder why you barely ever see people in the crowds at the cricket, league, football or any other sporting event waving it?? Have a good hard look at a crowd at the socceroos or the cricket next time it's one. You'll be lucky to see 2 or 3.

Rightly or wrongly there's a reason for that. No bastard wants to be lumped in with those pieces of shit.
every country suffers from these moron types and we/they move on thankfully - was acted on even though you never cover every single base - I agree POS.
National flags are hardly used at general games thats why you don't see them much if at all.
NT Roo/Tilly games you see flags thats for sure/face painting etcetc which is normal as anywhere else also.
Waving my/our flag at any time if so you'd be a small minded insecure mug if you felt lumped in or judged like those POS.
As far as I'm concerned their behaviour does not effect my feelings waving our flag.

By the way put aside USA for we shouldn't follow what they do at the best of times but here's some that do cover lack of respect towards their flag, respect first and foremost imo - I don't see it as obstructing freedom of speech per say - maybe I'm a fh/racist/neanderfal/bogan foaming at the mouth without realising - doubt most that know me see me as such but who knows today, I'm guilty of something I'm led to believe.
