Mate thats because, in the 80s, her Dad was probably old enough to have fought AGAINST the Nazi occupiers and has bad associations with "ze Germans", like lots of places in Europe .... The same can't be said now, 2 generation later.... Young Australians don't hate the Japanese like their grandparents do ... its called evolution of society... Didn't go anywhere yesterday, 45 degrees was too fucking hot to go anywhere.

As for the actual flag, ever since it's been co-opted by the Cronulla riot fuckheads, Nazis, One Nation Neanderthals, racists and bogans foaming at the mouth about immigrants it's become a national embarrassment.

Ever wonder why you barely ever see people in the crowds at the cricket, league, football or any other sporting event waving it?? Have a good hard look at a crowd at the socceroos or the cricket next time it'ds on. You'll be lucky to see 2 or 3.

Rightly or wrongly there's a reason for that. No bastard wants to be lumped in with those pieces of shit.

Comprehension is not your strong suit is it. 'Treason' is not burning the flag as much as you want to froth at the mouth about it.

No single government in Australia, of either persuasion, has ever brought forward a bill to outlaw it BECAUSE it's an important part of our ability to express ourselves. Even in a shithole 3rd world country like the US it's not illegal and they're mental about their flag.
