I am 'old' enough to remember 1986, when future West Adelaide Hellas player (and captain?) destroyed the hearts of Hearts.

So the jumping Celtic player inadvertently pushes the Motherwell arm up, which is attached to his hand, which is directly in front of his head. How is your hand in front of your face a penalty?

It's the same as standing in the defensive wall and holding your nuts, ball strikes your hand protecting your nuts, so that's a penalty now?
 
I haven't read what the official ruling even was. handball or foul to the head? I 'get' the call but it's so bloody weak and the circumstances just can't have calls like that being made.
