Nice hit McGree. Tidy half. Colombia not very energetic. Must get Elder on to exploit that wing. Wouldn't mind Devlin at some point.
 
What are the Colombians on the bench moaning about now? STFU!
 
Half time comes at 0-0. We seem to be a bit better at keeping possession than last game and our defensive mids are giving our back 3 a few more passing options (although they don't seem to be able to do much more than just give the ball back to them). Not brilliant from us but better than Saturday.
 
McGree and Metcalfe are 2 of the 3 most attacking players on the pitch. History shows they score very rarely at international level. Both have 1 single goal from more than 30 caps.
 
Tense stuff ober in CONCACAF right now. We're going to be pot 2 regardless right?

For a chance he's actually hanging higher up and now we're not feeding him. Make it make sense. Again, a strong opponent makes us look better but when it's up to us to control the game or do something we stumble and look lost.

We're much better on a whim than calculated.

Frustrating and they need to shoot more in matches. A lot of those caps are little cameos and bits and pieces. McGree has had a stop start career.
 
The Socceroos seemed to be gaining in confidence late in the second half. Irvines touch appears to have improved. Bodes well for the Second half. Got to take the game more to Colombia though.
 
Certainly a better team with Irvine in it. Think Popa's system really suits him.

Need to find a bit more width and to link up with Toure.
 
Not much being said about Izzo coming in over Ryan.

Pretty significant in terms of what it says about who will be our No.1 next June.
