No surprises and pretty stupid by poppa.
Italiano is getting torn to shreds as well. But mainly they are just walking straight through Burgess. Circatti has done a decent job , unlucky with the onside
 
Man this has been so disappointing, we are getting pinned back.

For starters the US press has been too assertive so we cant keep the ball for more than 3 passes, when we do we forward Bos and Italiano are too deep to attack so we just lose it which makes starting Leckie and Irankunda more baffling where they struggled to get in the game.

Poch has outcoached Popa today, even with no Pulisic Robinson is causing alot of problems meaning our centre backs are under alot of pressure with Pepi and Balagun up front.

Now all of that, we have to change for starters we need to go to a back 4, and get in Irvine, Irankunda and Metcalfe and probably look into getting Volpato in the line up.

We are getting outplayed and unlike the Turkey game the US are hurting us.
 
Watching that again, what was Leckie doing? He had space to run into, but he tries to do the spectacular. Senseless.

Tough first half. Gotta give credit to USA they've been impressive again. McKennie best on ground by a mile, we've had no answer to his movement. Nish and Leckie just don't look up to this level, not much service hasn't helped. Doesn't help every 50/50 goes against us, expected somewhat when you're playing the hosts.
 
Bos is only timid because of the yellow but when you've got Velupillay and Okon as your outlet what do you expect?
 
Just watched the first goal back. Circati way off it and Souttar doesn't close down either. Souttar with a foot in way but it does past. Burgess stupidly tries with his reliable left. Way too risky there.

We are getting outmuscled as much as we are getting dispossessed. There’s no time to breathe out there.

The US must have breathed a sigh of relief when we took Metcalfe & Irankunda out of the starting XI. I think that’s a bit of a strange one if you ask me.
 
Poppa outsmarted himself today with the lineup and tactics bigtime. I'll say it again from the first minute we have been static inviting them to come at us like there Argentina or France out coached today. As for lads to many senior heads nervy and making to many mistakes. Midfield non existent. Metcalfe being dropped huge mistake.
 
I didn't realise but that first goal is a lot on Circati. He shouldn't be so poorly at anticipating the sprint there. He's also on a yellow and now timid.
