Sign Up Now!It'll be a good final test for some fringe players and we needn't risk our locks.Actually the Socceroos have a good head to head against Mexico. Not that it matters there team now is very good defensively so they will be hard to break down.
Definitely need to build cohesion and chemistry. You'd have to assume that the Swiss and Mexicans will be just as keen as us to avoid injury. How do you feel about managing rest with our starters vs getting them up to speed and building chemistry?
I personally think we should maintain a safe boundary of over-playing and over-training them especially with these two games. They can play (especially against Switzerland), but against a tough and physical Mexico, we should really focus on trying out the players who have that 1 game to possibly make the World Cup Squad the following day, no need to risk our best players.
Love the doggy analogy. Irankunda is definitely a staffie in build and attitude. We just need more kelpies, and a bulldog at no.6Only except for the fact he runs to loose balls that the keeper wants life a staffy happy to snap its knees.
Thankfully he's got some robustness muscle protection. The lack hack from behind against Cameroon was scary.
No room for a clipped poodle at 10?Love the doggy analogy. Irankunda is definitely a staffie in build and attitude. We just need more kelpies, and a bulldog at no.6
How dare you describe Hrustic like that! He's more the stubborn Jack Russell type.No room for a clipped poodle at 10?

Na he's a poodle alright. Never my favourite dog. I reckon Cam Devlin is our Jack Russell, running and nipping at heels all day, while Harry our Great Dane keeps us steady at the back. Wish we had a greyhoundHow dare you describe Hrustic like that! He's more the stubborn Jack Russell type.
Suto has a good long range strike which would be a handy roll of the dice if we need it.Final chance but give Suto a start against Mexico. We may be missing out on some form of wildcard here.
It could be a disaster or, given his non Roos experience and knowledge, the whole 'we don't score from open play' mindset is out o his head and he actually goes for it. It's like a club with a new signing who breaks the mould the fans are so used to.Suto has a good long range strike which would be a handy roll of the dice if we need it.

How do you do that in FotMob? That's sick. Nailed it too though I'd start Devlin over O'Neill.Volpato arrives Saturday morning local time, so most likely won't feature against Mexico but will probably debut against Switzerland.
A possible starting lineup at the World Cup. Volpato on the right to cut onto his left (dribble and shot), vice versa with Irankunda on the left + link-up play with Bos. Still unsure about Irvine's midfield partner, could be Okon, O'Neill, Devlin or Leckie depending on matchups. Again Herrington/Burgess is splitting hairs. I prefer Herrington just for some added speed as with Burgess, Souttar and Circati, one ball over the top and it's over.
The lineup isn't a dominant team but there is definitely something there and plenty of talent available.
