Socceroos vs Egypt - 2026 World Cup R32 - Sat 4th of July 4am AEST

He'll probably score now but Trezeguet generally can't hit a barn door. Ridiculous name and plays nowhere near the real one. They've got a Dunga too...

And honestly... I am more happy that Salah is starting. If the dude is carrying a little niggle than chances are he's going to get less influence on the game as it goes on and may even have to be taken off for more fresh legs.

Salah coming on in the 60th minute...... fuck that would make me shit myself. Egypt team and crowd would fucking go beserk.
I agree. We've got our 11 but I would've liked Mabil to start and run at him for an hour.

We've still got a lot of unused talent. I think Devlin coming on if we're going for 120 will be an excellent reserve.

I dont know what Toure has done wrong
I'm annoyed he's not playing as much but he's made of glass. The thing is he would've been lerfef tfor some of the passes into the box against Paraguay. The game will go hard for 90 if not 120 so we have options.

Agree that Mo Toure's injury proneness is a problem for us but he should still be able to make a impact from the bench late in regulation time or even in extra time.

What on earth on SBS? Irankunda is on as a 9 for his defensive aspect rather than attacking. Geez he's supposed to be on the ball not some shadow to unsettle their build up.

Aussie scout said irankunda looks to recieve the ball in buildup more which can help us progress. His press is good too with some bad decisions

Mo salah starts

4 changes I'm hearing for Egypt. Fresh left back. Marmoush and others have been in and out of the 11.

While technology is so advanced these live interviews with Irvine seem surreal and somewhat uotopian. Maybe it's just the vast time zones the match and our fans cross.

Ahmed Fatouh and Mohamed Abdelmonem are both injured for Egypt, and Mohanad Lasheen is serving a suspension this match for too many yellow cards in the group stage also.

Not thinking of penalties (yet) but we're looking at emptying a few players then subbing. I feel the same 11 makes us a little vulnerable to fatigue.

Starting Okon over O'Neill then bringing him on the hour or somehow putting Devlin or Trewin in would be good. Mabil too. I get the stakes are high but the hunger and freshness of the others would be good.

Our defensive structure has been amazing group stage.
Hope we can lock it up again.
Whoever tags Salah will have a job, but hopefully they're up for it.

I'm here for the tell all podcast when why get the behind the scenes stories Irvine starting now

You'd think Lucas Herrington would be tagging Mo Salah and he should definitely be up for the job given his experience defending against players like Messi and Son Heung-min.
