First 20 or so decent then fell off and they levelled. Glad we're learning more about what works and what doesn't. Reasonable effort. Boyle and Geria particularly poor so far tonight.

Bos gets around a premier league defender to score there. Just shows they're not always on song themselves.

Got to say Balard has given the ball away more than I would like but that may happen from heavier involvement. He needs to sharpen up there.

USA goal is Balard missed pass and he's also a bit slow to track the player getting the assist. Mass communication mix up at the back from us and a sharp toe poke it all tags needed. A training goal of sorts.

How did get a lucky deflection on his last touch but you make your own luck. Did really well.

Boyle is so alone in those roles and I hate it. He's much better as a link up player and has a decent shot when it can get laid off well.

Yeah I think O'Neill hasn't been great either. I've liked Balard on the ball, thought he has helped with the pressure. Geria is obviously struggling a bit.

He's a striker that looks for runs and gets in behind being asked to play as an attacking mid.
His assets don't translate to this system

Boyle doesn't look great on the left. Wrong side and too isolated. I reckon he offers more on the right but our formation doesn't suit him.

D'Agostino very rusty. Geria has been okay. Italiano good.
