I've had a look through the doc again - the only references to 21 years old relate to those who have played an A international in official competition aged 21 or younger - so I don't believe this locks him in yet for anything. Even being picked in the squad and playing the Mexico friendly (but not a minute of World Cup football) wouldn't lock him in.

Two more friendlies will (this was his second match, I believe?) or playing in an official competition match (seeing as he is over 21, it's regardless whether it's a finals tournament, or a qualification match) will lock in permanently.

For a player that has played friendlies at A level, and nothing else, they need to meet all the below criteria to change:

I think both height and age have a part to play but having said that the Curacao keeper Eloy Room was the oldest player outright on the field at 37 years of age in addition to being one of the taller players also.

He has played in three friendlies (Ecuador, Argentina, Curacao) so one more appearance in any game (friendly, qualifier, WC or Asian Cup) will lock him in. And he would have to wait three years from now to change anyway.
