Reckon we're waiting for player arrivals before we can do a photo shoot in new kit? Are we going to play in it this window?

FA merchandising is terribly organised. They should have boxes of them to sell at both games.

Their social media have been hanging the current kit around the city for people to take and wear it for the game so they may just be going to play in the current kit one final time.

If it’s Sydney, that would probably be because of Matilda’s I reckon.

Given Matilda’s wouldn’t have been able to change until the tournament was over, would need to give it some clean space

Matildas won't be changing to the new kits until much later in the year or even early next year though.

Yes, but they’ll be getting these ones at some stage whenever their next window is.

Just meant that there’s no point advertising “hey, we have a new kit” if they’re still playing in the old one (as AFC wouldn’t allow them to change kit during the Asian Cup)

Hrustic already played Friday. Many played the early kick off or Saturday so even with the extra day until the Cameroon match we should have everyone in camp for a decent amount of time.

Mabil has a game Tuesday morning Australia time but I imagine he'll be released before then.

Degenek plays Sunday evening and Metcalfe has a Sunday game.

11 for Cameroon
Ryan, Italiano, Geria, Circati, Burgess, Bos, Yazbek, Robertson, Irankunda, Juric, McGree

11 for Curaçao

Izzo, Karacic, Herrington, Degenek, Trewin, Behich, Metcalfe, Hrustic, Velupillay, Suto, Mabil

Haven't viewed many comments in the thread, but I'm still very supportive of Popa as coach, despite spending too much time watching opponents with the ball.

I've finally got a return of the replay for the Aus V Colombia match on Paramount so I can slowly appraise the last 37 minutes for the game when the wheels fell off. At the 53 min mark, where I haven't been able to access past this mark, Aus did well to this point.

I feel like there are so many Aus players in so many different settings around the globe, it is becoming very difficult to evaluate some young players improving very quickly, compared to experienced Aus internationals. Scotland, where so many Aussies play, doesn't seem to be a league where good performances extrapolate to international football - unfortunately.

I now have comprehensive data on all players who've played recently, or, watched a lot and closely in the ACL.

Boyle - can't see a place for him, apart from his terrific engine getting up and down the pitch to defend and open passing lanes in attack. Still a great flat track bully against wekeer teams, but we won't play any for a while.

Hrustic - the worst stats for any player in Socceroos. Another great flat track bully against stacked defences of mediocre teams. Apart from converting goals, has nothing else over Arzani.

Arzani - in the ACL doesn't have the athleticism to play wing. Needs to move inside as a twin number 10, or single number 10. His goal conversion is appalling though. Very clever, skilful footballer with a great brain and vision.

Atkinson - again not quite dominant enough in the ACL to be Socceroo RB, but the best outside Miller, Italiano and Geria. Better than Karacic, Jones and Strain.

Teague - still hasn't gained the form of a year ago. Not playing well enough ATM.

Behich - in the ACL hasn't been dominant enough for City. Like Arzani, great football brain, but is little on the decline physically.

Goodwin - sadly on the decline. Another great brain, but on the decline physically.

Devlin - despite great Scottish form, hasn't displayed the different attributes to play international football.

Difficult to measure how inexperienced/uncapped international players, but recently fast improving - Max Burgess, Eli Adams, Bozinovski, Clayton Taylor, Sicluna, Lucas Herrington, etc - are compared to experienced Socceroo incumbents.

Kai Trewin - a surprise. It will be interesting evaluating the last 30 mins against Colombia though when the wheels fell off. KT has done well for the Roos - thus far. As tidy on the ball CB as we have, including Circati.

Rowles - a definite. Probably the next best option as Left WB after Bos, in terms of performance. Not an overlapping attacking option though, and can play as CB.

Okon Jr - haven't seen enough of SFC games, but wouldn't have thought he is good enough from what I've seen. Could I be missing something?

Mo Toure - has done well at central striker.

Yengi - also a decent target player, but his club scenario may not be good?

Irvine - great recent stats for the Roos, but have just discovered he is 33.

Metcalfe - great all round player for the Roos, but it isn't until one accrues stats and looks at all sorts of actions closely, how effective he is. Nothing like the spectacular shooting of Irankunda and the great ball carrying and runs of Bos, which are easy to identify. Connor M has a good football brain too.

Yengi is injured and badly enough he'll miss the World Cup.

Scotland = bad is overstated. It depends on the situation and player. It's been good for many. It's also been progressing by the metrics it gets criticised for such as passing stats.

Looks like Paramount has finally clamped down on VPN with error 3005 for every way I try to view anything. Even movies get the same error. How is the experience for others? Socceroos replays get the message in Chrome, Android browser app and the Paramount app. Thankfully 10 play works but Paramount was fine last November. I'm going to try 10 different connections and see if anything comes through but I'm doubtful.

Browser error meesage is 3005 for slow connections.

App code is 6000.

Behich has never been a great crosser into the box but this season his kicking has gone from average to woeful. He is good as a left back and leadership but I am struggling to see what benefit he would bring at the WC. Right now I would rather see Farrel as a back up left back.
