Champions League is an annual ever fldull repetitive event. The world cup is a gruelling competitive test against the rest of the world every 4 years. Simply incomparable.

HAHAHA Id take Panathinaikos winning UCL than Greece winning Euro any day (Not gonna line WC may be a bit of an outliert) ... AND I'd take Hellas winning the Australian Championships or Australia Cup over BOTH.....

It seems like many of the youngsters dont feel the same these day mate.... You're all attacking the messenger NOT the message.
 
haha I still remember all the Greek kids (some may even have been Cypriot lol) arriving that morning to my high school draped in the Greek flag!

I don't think I ever saw them ever wear any football related gear before or after that!

Dont know mate, everyone watches for a different reason. I do it because I love my club and would watch even if the team only fielded 3 old ladies and a trout. Others because the like to watch athetic young men compete in beautiful sport, again others becuase they appreciate the tactics or the stats or they just love to gamble... Not trying to bum you out but you dont get upset when your favourite actor stops making comedies and tries a serious movie every now and then do you???

I watched until half-time when he was taken off. Few touches ,a couple were good forwad passes, one drawing a compliment from the commentator, but also was dispossessed too easily, and was on the periphery of the game. Disappointing.

Gotta ask mate cos I was fascinated by Peloponnesian Wars as a 7 year old kid due to a beautifully illustrated book by Mary McGregor (amazingly free online) called The Story of Greece. So Mono are you Spartan or Athenian? (Assuming football had been in the Ancient Olympics)

Its a high level and he is a young age. He is probably equalling segecic at this stage tbh

Yeah I saw that emotional post-match interview with Circati. Was not expecting that at all. It was genuine love for the green and gold. That's our edge - others have the skill, our weapon is our passion and self-belief.
