Maybe he will end up playing in Greece, is that greater than playing in a World Cup? I think not
Yeah Greece struggle to qualify for even the Euros. He could possibly never play in a World Cup unless they keep expanding it.

He made his choice and good luck to him in the rest of his career where ever that takes him. Sometimes you need to go where the heart takes you.

Gutting. Did not see that coming.

Trying to work this out. Is this a dummy spit because he didn’t get selected for the march friendlies (he would probably know already) Or has the Croatian association been trying to win him over?

Well fucking done Popovic. Stupid games so he can just pick some clown again while we lose two of the biggest talents of a generation.

Starting XI vs Cameroon

Kristian and Gabriel Popovic, Noh and Luka Skoko, Marcus Neill, Luka and Sonny Sterjovski, Oliver Kalac, Oliver Viduka, Paul Okon jnr, Liam Chipperfield

I would guess it is most likely both.

Borrello delivering which gives Popovic the chance to troll us again. Don't get me wrong I want Borrello to be his best but he and other regulars simply don't deliver when called upon.

McGree needs a small moment to do something great but his injuries and lame national team performances are frustrating.

As Miller is out, how will Popovic's system now play from the back without his favourite yet most inept attacking outlet? If Behich starts then it'll be the same just going to the left.

With Bennie now stating his Scottish preference we can all but rule out Popa selecting him (which is fair enough).

Based on current form, who else do we see alongside Italiano as Miller’s RWB replacement?

I guess if we keep expanding everyone plays in the world cup

Oddly enough i feel we had more loyal players before we made the world cup regularly
Yeah for a country with the population of NSW and having to qualify through UEFA, Greece makes enough World Cups thanks.

Nooo way champions league is higher then a world cup
10-20 matches, against the best players and clubs in the world, as opposed to 3 matches, maybe more past group stage against national teams like USA and Paraguay.. What do you think player agents and scouts would more likely base their assessments on?

All depends how you look at it

The Champions League is better for proving top-tier tactical quality, while national teams are better for historical legacy. Most players operate at a higher tactical level for their clubs, but with more passion for their nation.

Like to think there is more to life then money surely playing for your country with a group of lads possibly mates from juniors is better then playing for a club you have nothing to do with

Dude, its just a job... A really fun one but just a job... You glorifying the experience as a fan, but at the end of the day, the one club player you pine for doesn't exist anymore (at least not much).

Throw a dart at Karacic, Strain or Borges-Rodrigues.
