rewatched behich's game v saudi and he was playing really well.

I feel like you have this the wrong way around. Behich is the 80 cap incumbent who was excellent last time out. If not for the a league break he would have been selected. Bos and Silvera are trying to dislodge him.

The chance of Silvera beating a man and getting a decent cross in is much higher than Behich. Flukey goal against Japan shouldn't redeem him permanently.

They might have more potential, talent, play in a higher standard league. This might be enough for Popa to pull the trigger on it.
But this isn't FM where you just plug in the guy with better stats. Having 80 caps counts for a lot.

Sure yet 60 of them are being a traffic cone with woeful attacking end results. Bos had to be first choice and the next spots can be battled for. At least this squad should those not picked.

I really wonder how well placed Goodwin is. He's surely got to be included but we have a lot of options.

It's a good problem to have and one that is pretty unusual for us. I think everyone agrees the next generations have the potential to be a step up in level from the current. Not only that but there is a lot more depth of options.
So it's not yet clear who of the young guys will float to the top and who will fall off. Even Segacic, who looks to be about to break out, is still very early into his career.

That is Behich slander though even if you are being hyperbolic. Bos needs to stay on the pitch first and you might be right. It remains Behich's spot for the time being.

It is far more likely that Segecic and the rest at the very least will maintain their level rather than drop away into some talent abyss of some sort. Yes being plagued by injuries is always possible in any players careers but if Bos for example is fit then he should be picked ahead of Behich from this point on. I don't care if Aziz has played 800 caps.
 
Not much to quibble about with this squad.Has the boat sailed for Nisbet and Elder-maybe next window but if not picked for that one it definitely has.Hrustic meh but Kalic is interesting and hope he gets plenty of minutes.Also Balard finally gets a chance-lets hope he performs.It will be interewsting to see how Nestory has improved.

I think Izzo should be given first shot at keeper.

I'd like to find an alternative to Miller at RWB. Strain still no love, is he injured? Bennie ideally but needs game time.

I want to see Balard but we look thin in CM. I wish Luongo was selected.
