Ryan Reynolds-owned Wrexham set to face Melbourne Victory

Didnt broxham weirdly put his hand in his shorts before shaking beckhams hand?
I just remember Robbie Middleby chopping Beckham and Beckham chopping him back a few minutes later then both of them having a laugh about it.

These are just exhibition matches, not to be taken too seriously. It's essentially light entertainment.

What would be the expected crowd to the Victory game? Shame it isn't being played at AAMI, are they really expecting more than 30K turn out?

Hard to say. Still plenty of tickets available. I reckon they might get above 30k, but not by much. If they do a last minute price reduction they may get some more in the door but they definitely won't fill the venue.

That game had 12 subs....thats huge even for this early in preseason

Some of those names i didnt even recognize from their npl clubs

Anyone else getting sick of feeding the narrative, that anyone from overseas has the devine write to just defeat A League teams, therefore, the footballing world is fine this way?
Just a reminder, even though it's hit n' giggle, a friendly, it shows that we are shit & are a slave to a very low salary crap.
Thankfully we have other football codes which are strong.

Over 37000 reported.

I know it is the silly off season, but that was a disappointing result in terms of perception of the A League.

I'd say it's exactly the result you'd have to expect though. Although transfermkt has its issues, Wrexham is nearly x3 times more valuable than Victory. Football is a global economy and ALeague has dropped a few notches with the reduction of the salary cap. We might expect a slightly better performance if it was during the season and the MV squad was complete and in game form. The reality however, is its the off season, the squad is no where near complete and the opposition is far superior.

That Arthur Diles is a spud of a coach doesn’t help matters either.

He’s boasted about having attended coaching-seminars hosted by Real Madrid, and that he ‘knows people’ at AEK Athens..

Bruh, there would be coaches in the Salvadorean Primera Division🇸🇻 who’d do better than him(def so if the yardstick were Ruben bloody Zadkovich instead)💡

37k for a practice game. 30,000 probably there for the Deadpool show.
