PFA ALW Report

Pfa want 1 million more per club in the womens game

Apl want to bring average male wages from 4.8mil to 3.5 mil

Thats a 2.3million dollar gap, nearly 40% of the combined player budget

Has anyone seen this much distance between the position of a union and the position of the employers?

Without this kind of investment the game will be stuck in a time warp.

I don't really know heaps about union stuff to be honest but yeah that's a big gap.

Yeah we need professionalism. That's what we need most alongside better marketing. It's unacceptable that we pay lower than every other major Aussie women's sport despite being more popular.

All the investment is at the top, so little in grass roots. Imo if we invested in the bottom of the pyramid buying fields and club houses for grass roots clubs we eventually get to a place where we can have all the other bright shiny things at the top we want with a participation rate north of 4million
