Don't get me wrong. The listed topics below are immensely important. What I'm saying is public broadcasters get this holy image yet they are also selective themselves. The ABC is in decent stead. Yet they don't trust themselves to go hard on certain issues due to their own internal bias.

The Canadian and German broadcasters have come under massive criticism for their framing of certain issues. They go on about being independent but it simply isn't the case.

The German public broadcaster were gaslighting for years on certain issues and then release new stories about 'findings' which people had been saying were the case for a decade.

Oh believe me, that Mary girl on news au is garbage with her tiktok and reddit based articles. Seeing the headline is bad enough.

Public broadcasters are government broadcasters. The man that pays the piper calls the tune, no matter the organisation.

On youth crime, Victoria I'm assuming you're talking about, it magically became a non-issue literally the week Crisafuli was elected in Qld.

One minute it was the end of days and wall to wall coverage on the radio, TV and the print media about 'out of control youth' and 5 days later it disappeared completely.

Seems once Murdoch got his bloke elected it was now not a problem.

Grubs.

Maybe Victoria needs a change of government for their youth crime problem to 'disappear'.

I disagree. The ABC has gone to town on both sides of government in the past.

We're better off with them than without them.
