Silver and 4th in Australian finals so far. Both favourites won the races. Pallister is more a bigger distance swimmer. Relays to come!
 
Wtf has happened there? 200IM Tara Kinder was fastest of all heats and just finished last in Lane 4, 2 seconds behind her heat time. Her heat time would've been enough for the final. Other Aussie just a bit faster but neither in the final. Damning.

Our female breastrokers have been a burden for ages. I hope someone new is coming through.
 
What a final leg by Oliva Wunsch in the relay! Gold.
 
Wow the men's relay team have delivered with gold. Chalmers with a massive final leg while Italy sneak silver. Good to see the men's team doing it aster years of disappointment. Our girls are nailed on. Just legends.
 
Bronze in women's 1500m. Handy Romania beat the Americans to keep the gold count down. McKeown is absolute legend so it's not the end of the world if she doesn't win backstroke gold here. You can tell a lot of swimmers are glad of a medal but this really is an Olympic precursor.
 
Our men's backstroke and women's backstroke atrocious. Didn't even pass the heat stage.
 
Two medals missed today you'd think with Short withdrawing from 800m final and our mixed medley relay finishing outside the medals. USA didn't even make the final. We used some reserve swimmers but for McKeown. Good experience builder for the rest.

Brilliant swim by O'Callaghan to win gold and Harrison Turner with a shock 200m Fly Bronze in lane 8. Well done.

USA getting pipped for golds but many nations so if we'd won a few more we may have the most golds. Massive men's 100m tomorrow. Got to win more relays. Our 50m events are woeful currently as are our women breaststrokes and men's backstroke.

Normal to swim reserves in heats but Australia missed mixed relay final. Bit silly in hindsight but the other nations went hard and got rewarded.
 
Wallabies hitting Lions really hard early on. Ref making the right calls. Stuff the Lions and their luck with decisions last game. Wallabies had to hold that lead but the calls were atrocious as they go against how those moments are nearly always pulled up.
 
Wallabies getting stuck in and creating a ruskus. Stuff the Lions.
 
HT 8:0 Wallabies. Lions with a lot of foul play and deserve a yellow card.
 
Lions again just fouling in defence on the line. Finally a yellow. Amazing when a ref follows the laws. The number of good calls tonight against the Lions has been great.

I'm a little confused at the broadcast rights for this. I know these were on 9 (I saw this on Saturday night in place of what was the EPL early game, and then again last night), but SBS sent around an email yesterday that they are showing the race meets this weekend from the World Champs??

Hahaha I was the same at the start of the week, channel surfing and found both channels showing the same thing (I have found myself watching a few hours every night :) ) Channel 9 in is on a very slight delay and SBS has Bruce Macavaney :) I'm watching on SBS....
