mid point of our 4 year plan.... how is the "unifying football" going? What about the "elite teams and pathways"?

Being a ‘glass half full’ kinda guy I do think progress is being made with both the APL and the state federations, probably not as quickly as we fans would like. I can see small glimmers of improvement in cooperation between all parties ( I am reading between the lines here).
I believe JJ is a very diplomatic guy and takes things one step at a time.
I think we will see great improvements in all areas in the next two years.

Hope you are right mate... I cant see any progress... today's news about the Claytons second division has me pretty pessimistic about any real desire to move forward.

Possibly, but at the moment its mainly just disappointment... Instead of a proper league we are getting a super league lite, 8 x clubs buying their way in and 8 x "premiers" who may or may not have the money or the fans to even bother flying around the country 6 times to compete two months into their offseason... what could go wrong?
 
Eliminate state federations. If they were serious they would have done that as the first step.

correct, the middle man is being cut in most things today, sure they might be doing something right/good ?
Anyone say why they are needed to run Football in their respective State that couldn't be pulled inhouse at FA but maybe have 1 FA State based Rep being first contact for Clubs.

Most if not all large companies have 1 HQ/office running their National distribution.

in all fairness, there are quite a few administrative duties the state feds are better suited to complete mate.... Its not easy scheduling ONE league let alone hundreds, for men women juniors all ages groups and divisions what have you... they should (and mostly do) help clubs lobby for government funding, facilities maintenance and the like... They do (or at least should) help with insurance, medical training, coach education and the like... what they SHOULDN'T (in my opinion) have a say in is the make up of the professional league and any decisions made by FA as a national body.
 
yer I get that hence you still need 1 or 2 or 3 on the ground based but they have too much influence more than anything else by the look of it protecting their trough.

At grass roots club levels you don't see any State Reps pretty much, the Clubs manage the medical training/education etcetc for its all handed down from the Feds obviously that was handballed from the FA in any case.
Insurance is not much work but for the FA or Feds align the deal with X company, having gone through that twice the/your Club isn't even involved - you grab the docs from the website fill out go through the motions.
It hardly worth it also tbh for a player, I got next to nothing suffering a acl just went ahead managaed it myself.

Getting back to the Feds, that FQ rougue is classic example.

What timing, look what just came through via email from the FA - mine from FNSW.
A National Rego Platform !

History/Background
Each FIFA Member Association must implement a national online registration platform to assign participants a FIFA ID, enabling secure electronic information exchange.
Beyond fulfilling this mandate, the platform offers a single source of accurate participant data, ensuring data integrity and transparency.
This strengthens Football Australia’s mission to promote and manage football across the country, supporting all football stakeholders and participants with an efficient communication tool. The new registration platform, Play Football v2.0, will be launched to participants on 2 December 2024.

Purpose Of Football Participant Registration
As the governing body of football in Australia, Football Australia oversees the organisation, promotion and administration of football matches and competitions nationwide.
Play Football v2.0 captures participant information and has been developed to:
• Comply with FIFA, AFC and Football Australia Statutes 1 2 3 including the National Registration, Status and Transfer Regulations (NRSTRs).
• Ensure football is regulated in a consistent and coordinated manner across the states, territories, associations and clubs.4
• Register all participants and all forms of organised football under Football Australia’s jurisdiction, including eleven-a-side or outdoor football, modified football, futsal or indoor football, beach football, summer football, MiniRoos and schools’ football.5
• Facilitate investigations regarding a complaint or breach of the Football Australia Statutes, including the National Integrity Framework.6 • Facilitate the implementation and administration of disciplinary sanctions.7
• Provide administrators with relevant information about participants. Member Federations must ensure that all participants involved in all forms of organised football under Football Australia’s jurisdiction, including players, coaches, referees, team managers and volunteers in each of their Associations and clubs register directly via Play Football v2.0.8
