Preston is probably a full house.

Canberra Croatia would be the 2nd biggest as it will mirror the npl grand final with all the croats coming out.

Nws spirit would be the lowest.

Even though Preston have looked sub par the derby nature of it makes it a 50/50 contest, South only slight fav cos of home ground. South would be red hot favourites against the other 2.

I expect 5k if its against Spirit, 7-8k against croatia and 10k+ against Preston.

Thats assuming the weather doesnt kill it.

As long as we win, I dont really care anymore... The future of this league isn't going to be judged solely on SMFC crowds, let someone else worry about "the metrics" for a change.

We saw against Moreton City Excelsior that we were able to attract a 3K crowd for a team that is relatively unknown outside Queensland. For a semi final against a NWS Spirit, you'd assume you would attract a crowd of at least 4K.

Your right @southmelb that we would have at least 500 Croatian fans attend Lakeside. If its anything similar to the Dandy City crowd at the NPL Grand Final, then having over 1K Croatian fans would make for a great atmosphere, and the crowd starts to exceed 5K.

In terms of Preston travelling to Lakeside, then this could be anything from 7-10K. As long as its not live on SBS TV, then that would boost the crowd attendance figure. What a statement it would make to the haters of this competition to see a sold out Lakeside Stadium.

Grand Final is Saturday 6th December 3pm kick off

Let's get through the quarter finals first before we start to look too far into the distance.
Hahaha agreed mate, I just hate the 1pm Sat kickoff so much.. Speaking of Final, it really WOULD be better served at 7pm on Saturday night but I suppose the APL will fight tooth and nail against that, for the good of the game and all.
