Finally, SMFC Mike should also be looked into for his deception of fans. Mike has been a staunch defender of this clown show of a board and I suspect his receiving benefits such as free memberships or luxuries at home games from the club. He spins it as being a volunteer but did he ever have knowledge of Maikousis corrupt actions. If so, he should be banned from South too.

Ultimately this is a shocking look for the club and heads have to roll for this. Now an EGM is not only inevitable but necessary because this lot can’t be trusted. For those who water stuff under the bridge, this is blatantly a red flag and shocking.

Being fully serious, our community has never been richer, so you’d think the headline club for Melbourne Greeks could find SOMEONE to step into the breach

Let it go mate, Ange hasnt posted or made any mentions of South Melbourne in the world media for ... checks notes ..... weeks now... :)
 
Hopefully this presidency debacle dosen’t derail any potential signings. We need to make at least 5 signings to be competitive in this competition otherwise we’ll struggle to get out of our group.

I believe the boys are on there end of season trip in Bali but return back to training for a mini pre season next week. The transfer window for Championship clubs open next week too for a week.
 
Are there many/any Greek backers will to throw cash in to the club?

Considering there is no salary cap, SM should build a powerful team.
 
Starti is a life member and definitely is ambitious enough to want the job.

Kokotis has NFI he’d be a shambles appointment.

I’ll put my hand in the ring. Every one of them should be sacked who is on the board currently for starters. And AGMs and jersey nights to be held at the start of the season (with members having tables).

Start being a club for the members again. Bill Papa methinks being Nicks first cousin will step down as a result of all this mess. Nicks Maik is currently in Greece anyways away from the mess

Bill Pap and Tass Roufos are implicated with this whole Nick saga.

Think this could turn very very ugly. Id expect not only a lot of board turnover but also loss of sponsorship.

Nick for all his faults did pump a lot of money into us. Nick gone, Tass and Bill maybe, Ashley Maikousis who is a very good operator will probably go sadly as a result of her father’s issues.

Strati is a good operator but as president, well it’s a job his never done before. Not sure he has the business acumen to succeed. Being a good TD doesn’t mean you’d be a good president. As for the alternative, The fact Kokotis is sprouting his name is an embarrassment. Everyone thinks it’s laughable they know his a melon.

Whoever takes the job I think is royally screwed. This situation will have a bigger impact on the club then we all think and with all the IOU, with all the sponsors and money loss, it’s going to be a big issue.

time to call Ange and pray for a Marinakis bail out

I'd expect Bill Paps to depart as im going to assume he was only there cos of Nick, plus he is an old school Heidelberg fan so i dont see much value moving forward. Its not like him being the president of the Greek community has helped bring Greeks back to Lakeside.

If only these fools on the board had just got Anastasiadis across 2 years ago we could have had him as the face of the club and you know he can build teams without huge $$$ needed. Now board positions and presidency is up in the air, coaching situation is still very much in short term mode, i'd say its pretty precarious moving forward.
