Official South Melbourne Hellas thread 🔵⚪

I have little interest in focusing on other clubs. I care about what we do. This is because when we win trophies, other no name clubs shut up.

We have serious issues, a coach that was sacked and then re-hired within 96 hours, obvious deficiencies and without a decent mid season transfer window, we will remain without a trophy this season.
 
James Donachie and Sabit Ngor have both been released by Central Coast.

I’d assume Ngor will go back to Heidelberg again but he should be a player we target. Donachie fills a need at centre back with Eliopoulos being out injured and injury prone.

Going hard after Sabit would be too logical for us to do, thats what you call an upgrade on existing.. would still require a proper striker if he plays on the right wing primarily.

Wouldnt suprise me either way whether he gets another bite at AL or ends up at heidelberg!

Jokes aside he may offer short term for the championship but the preference is younger more versatile players!
 
Im not really fussed about what Heidelberg, hume and oakleigh does. My concern is some big shot Albanian comes in and goes bananas in the transfer window and helps thunder out, im worried altona securing some decent pick ups, we know bentleigh are making moves.

The club better be switched on and make sure we dont get dragged into a bottom 6 scrap. We havent won an npl game for a long time and tomorrow night is a 6 pointer. The Greens currently occupy 3rd last will only be 3 points behind us if they beat us. We play gully and thunder in the 2 games after. The next 3 weeks we either stabilise or we start facing enormous pressure.

Still think we are too good to get dragged into a relegation battle even without signings.. we are just not a finals team as is!
Maybe as easy as 2 proper ins 1 in defence and 1 in attack and we do become that.. to win it all though we are atleast 4 proper starters shy of taking it home comfortably, or 2 key and 2 front line men the return of Eliop and an impact midfielder.

Fortunate to play Bemtleigh pre transfer season! As said above this is a 6 pointer... Altona was also and we saw that outcome!

Id like to think we are a bit more switched on than to fall in that trap!
Im 'demanding' nothing less than a solid transfer window of atleast 2, what im expectating is a lot less than that however but il try remain optimistic..

Main eagerness is to see tonight if the break did us any good!

If any club needed a break it was us, what with playing 2 tournaments at the same time.

Still does not mean we will win tonight, what with all the other stupidity that occured.
