Could Gillion sit on the bench in the A league grand final then play the next day against us? I'd say very likely.
 
Just saw that Avondale's Dockerty Cup match against North Sunshine eagles is set for 2nd June.

That means they will knock back any request from us to postpone our match next week. We are potentially playing for a continental title on the Sunday. Surely there is something in the FV Rules of Competition that allows these requests to be approved.

The only provision for postponements in the Football Victoria Rules of Competition is for approved representative matches but not sure whether they'll allow us to reschedule our game against Avondale for the OFC Pro League final or not.
 
Monday Night under lights.... First time weve played the Georgies in a decade... what other incentive do you need?

 
We've played well here and should have at least a goal. Problem is George Cross are shit which means they dont like passing the ball side to side, long throws, free kicks etc is where they excell and we've been punished. I'd be surprised if they dont score 6 here.

Just 5 senior players tonight and we would have beaten them. But nope we gotta have 23 blokes in Auckland.
 
Game set and match in this one... well done to the boys for the effort but thats were it ends....

This is by far the game some of those fringe players couldve possibly held if they werent needlessly in NZ and 9ts infuriating that this wasnt rectified to send them back during the week.

i hate to say it but the Avondale will be our biggest loss if/when they play against this 11.
