I think the fact that many fans knew our kids would be playing probably led to many staying at home and watching the match on YouTube.

The scenes of Heidelberg celebrating the FV Community Shield afterwards by defeating a composite U20s/U23s Hellas team did make me laugh. Just shows you the impact of that loss of last year’s Dockerty Cup Grand Final and Australian Championship semi final loss had on that club.

South Melbourne women ran out 9-2 winners over Melbourne City's reserve team at Lakeside Stadium courtesy of four goals from Emily Roach in the 10th, 22nd, 38th and 49th minute of the match, along with a hat-trick to Heidi Dalton in the 5th, 27th and 41st minute and a goal from captain Francesca Iermano in the 18th minute, as well as a goal from Raquel Deralas in the 90th minute. The rout sees South Melbourne remain unbeaten at home in NPLW Victoria and earn their seventh win of the season to move up to third on the ladder on 24 points, closing the gap on top two sides Bulleen Lions and Box Hill United to just the one point through twelve matchdays.

Is top spot determined by head to head or GD? A few more goals would wrap up top spot.

Big gap between our best team and our 2nd 11 so we need to make sure as Bulla would probably beat us with our B guys.

I must say I’m a fan of Feutz. Thought he was handy for Sydney Olympic in the Australian Championship and he’s had a good OFC Pro League scoring 8 goals.

I wouldn’t mind having Feutz at Hellas.

Good first half by Hellas. We started off slow and terribly but once we got into gear it was a great performance.
