Another thing that was frustrating me on the drive home, if the plan was to pull a whole bunch of stars on 60 minutes, why was our bench so pathetically weak? Where was Cocks? Leech? Dovison?

We play Auckland next Wednesday, was an extra 30 minutes going to kill our players? Im not saying we would have won but it would have been nice to see if our guys could turn the tide in the game without sabotaging ourselves.

This season feels far too comprimised. Our membership is the worst in Victoria when it comes to bang for buck, you could see the crowd getting agitated at yet another game being sacrificed.

I fear the clubs reputation will be in tatters with what awaits us the next 3 weeks. Especially next Friday.

I had a similar feeling as well last night. We need to get through the next few weeks and get our season back on track.

Well we've accepted a further 3 losses in a row but after the ofc our first game back is Hume away so could be looking at 5 defeats in a row.

We'll still have more points in the bank than we did ALL season last year.

It’s confirmed that Jankovic, Uchida, Mikkola, Pasquali, and Bonada are in Auckland and won’t be playing against Heidelberg on Friday night.

None of them really played against Melbourne City on Friday night either.. If they cant beat the Abu Dhabi Doo U21s what makes us think they can beat the Kiwi U21s?

Yeah I agree... A lot would have to do with the massive squad and load rotation but the hard work of the medical team keeping these lads patched up and functioning is supreme.

The medical team has done an amazing job so far this season. We've played over 25 matches so far, and its testament to the good work that is currently being done. It is also important to point out that the club was smart enough to identify this as a key area to ensure we had fit and healthy footballers available.

If we can hold on and win the OFC Pro League trophy, this will provide an amazing push in both confidence and mentality to pursue the league title and a decent run in the Australia Cup. But as said previously, we need new player signings to raise the quality of the squad and undo some of the signings that have not quite worked out.
