You're spot on. We used our main team against Bula FC which was close to a week ago. The teams that faced PNG Hekari and Tahiti United were mostly made up of reserves and a sprinkling of first team players. I expect the main first team players to be relatively fresh for tonight's match against Dinamo.

Yeah mate, I get it.. But the fact is it HASN'T gone poorly.. By hook or by crook or by some divine justice we are facing an unprecedented season for our club.

We all were negative in May of 2025 and what happened?

  • Two new competitions created in the past 12 months, we have already won one and look like going very deep, if not winning the whole thing, in the other...
  • We play a brand of football (not always but enough that it has become expected of us) that is exciting to watch.
  • Our win/loss is through the roof, so much so that on our day and with a full 1st team there isnt a club in Australia we fear facing.
  • Current Dockerty Cup and Australian Championship holders, top of the league in NPL, Qualified for the round of 32 in the Australia Cup, still alive in the Dockerty Cup.

I know we all like to see things "pragmatically" but shit any OTHER club fanbase in Australia, State league, NPL and even Aleague would see our position as pretty bloody enviable. .

Yeah it wasnt pretty.. Im a pretty staunch supporter (I like to think) but I had to be dragged to a few of those matches last year.... I sooo dreaded going to Knights I remember being at work on a Friday and actually NOT being happy it was matchday. I just wanted it to be Saturday already, going to the match felt like a chore... but then Poppy scored the brace and got the red...... and it felt like 100kgs of concrete had been lifted off our souls.
 
Small ground is hurting us. More of a scrap. Not sure why we've ditched the long throw after scoring from one. Swibel probably was a red.
 
Dont know what im enjoying more the win or the drop in tone of a clearly dissapointed Sariacoglu the tosser who was left whinning and with the hope we would drop points.... lol
 
2nd half was dominant, similar to Preston game.

If we can get the 3 points next Friday night we should remain top 4 until ofc ends. Realistically the best we could hope for. Take away ofc and i doubt we would have had dropped a single point yet.

Seen glimpses of his lapse in judgment at numerous times this season, very very fortunate to get away with that despite his oscar worthy theatrics afterwards... Bonada seemed caught up in what couldve been an issue at some point also with the dynamo bench/supporters, needed to be called out to, and told to cool down..... i think they only re review if there is a report in officials matchday paperwork, which they then review, beilieve clubs also have 7 days to report incidents for review if they want.... but dont quote me on it bc it may have changed.

Yep …. Our worst performance with a full strength team was the Bentleigh match
 
His theatrics probably saved him from a red and a few weeks off. He could have cost us the game. That said i still see him as a weak link despite his goal.

Which shows how high the bar is cos that should have been 4-0 at half time. We were missing Mikkola and Painter Andrews in that game and Sinisa played Giannokopoulos at RB...now you'd obviously play O Sullivsn.

Hume, Dandy Thunder and Oakleigh all would have been wins with our best side.

From what i've seen of the other teams only Heidelberg can match our best teams.

Issue with Bergers is they try to walk the ball into goal...
