Official South Melbourne Hellas thread 🔵⚪

The Melbourne City Youth match is must win. We cannot afford to throw that match.

There is another issue that the Football Department will need to deal with is that at the end of May, the South players may have played over 30 matches! They will need to be rested in June for at least 1-2 weeks in order to help manage their bodies and minds in order to remain fresh for the remainder of the season. We could see players rested strategically throughout the month of June. Its the only way so they don't burn out by September.
Dont you mean December? We have the Aus Champs as well this year...

So in all of this we have our last regular hub series match against Tahiti United tomorrow afternoon. On a side note, Tahiti United will be aiming to win, as it needs to win in order to finish in the top 4 and dislodge South Island United (assuming they dont get at least a draw against Auckland).

If we have so many of our first team players over there, lets at least get a draw and finish on a positive. No need for the strongest starting line up. I would suggest the following lineup:

Lopez
Inglese
Coveny
Gorr Burchmore
Painter-Andrews
Leech
Pope
Cocks
Singh
Mesorouni
Bonada

Our strongest starting XI should be playing against St Albans this Friday afternoon.

28o and 85% humidity at 3pm kickoff tomorrow... Whoever plays ISNT playing on Friday that's for sure.

Im not playing Bonada. We need his pressure and pressing on Friday night. Swibel can start since he doesnt run anyway.

If i see 5-6 key players come on at HT the remote is going through the tv. We can just park the bus and conserve energy.

Lopez is the only one that can do double duty.
