I complain about games on between midday and 3pm in summer. Not summer football itself. Look what happened to the Preston play last month.

With the way petrol prices are going and the fact everyone drives a fair distance to get to our home games youtube is going to win out.

Such a bummer that the season starts in mid feb and we basically get no summer football at lakeside. Thank fuck for the championship.

Correct. The funny thing is far too many people moan about the price of football in this country, when it is in fact, one of the cheapest in the world for admissions.

I mean @melbcityguy complaining about $120 for a Socceroos friendly ticket is a perfectly valid point... But $5 price increase after 7-8 years isnt whats keeping people away from NPL football.. we have to do better.

I agree. An extra $5 is not going to keep people away. Its an excuse for some not to come, not a reason.

After this weekend’s round of results, Tuesday’s match against Dandenong City just became much more important. Win and we are on top of the league. Then we have an even bigger 3 weeks ahead across 3 competitions (NPL Victoria , OFC Pro League , Dockerty Cup).

South Melbourne still move to the top of the NPL Victoria ladder with the win over Dandenong City though, one point clear of Hume City on 15 points with five wins and two losses through seven matchdays.

Yuki's card was deserved but Max and Nauel very hard done by.. How Webster didnt get at least a yellow for kicking the ball into the physios groin off the pitch is baffling... FA VIC doing shit things to Hellas... some things never change.

Relieved? Cmon that was pretty much 90 mins of domination... Clarke saved 3 -4 clear goals and the two Dandy Scored where 1) Janko not tracking his man in the box and 2) a total switch off ball watching in the final 30 seconds of a match.

5 wins from 7 rounds already (we only got 7 Ws all season in the league last year) .... what else do you want on a Tuesday night from the boys?

It was perhaps our best performance since forever ..... excluding the defeat of Heidelberg in last year's AFC Semi. And I do not count that, as we had signed on some quality short term players.

Our current first team is quality. We have a real weapon in Cocks off the bench. Just got to hope we get no injuries, and that the eventual fatigue in April comes after we have banked points in both NPL and OFC PL.
