This was my main concern when his signing was announced. Too injury prine and may leave us at the back exposed. We need Coveny to really step and develop into a very good defender who can hold his own in senior football.

Apparently Manny won't be back due to allocation being exhausted that's what I've been told. And our hub games could be Bundoora, Bergers or other

Eliopoulos didnt travel at all as per 3XY interview bc of what is most likely work related... but one more option at the back is also a must for such a long season...

On the manny situation We can't bring manny back as we've registered our squad with fifa under the ofc which only allows 23 players. We can only add u23 players to the squad if needed.However he is apparently looking at more overseas options. We had to register the squad before the deadline with our 23 players, with it being under fifa it also is our npl squad aswell

If thats the case then our squad is simply not good enough to challenge for any comp.

Again i understand the restrictions on the OFC end of this, and Swibel will have to carry that burden now bc thats what it is .... NPL and local though allows for changes until deadline day, he can easily play in all other comps. Wanting to see OS first i inderstand though from his perspective..

*Manny wouldnt solve all our problems but he does singlehandedly sort out the front line issue, i think especially 1 more CB and another key MF are of similar (if not bigger) pain points (if Manny doesnt come), as we are seeing when we are forced to experiment.... now throw in that we again will need to hunt for a better back up keeper with long term vision about succession and we can again have serious questions about the recruiting process imo.

This is my exact belief also! We are a click or two off in all comps (bc of the above).. NPL will show how off we actually are given whats gone on around us and it will show it early on.

Surely they reconsider and let us host our OFC Pro League hub games at Lakeside as opposed to having us host our games at Home of the Matildas or at Heidelberg United's home ground.

Squad is locked in until next international transfer window. Squad is good enough for OFC Pro League and to make finals in NPL Victoria competition.

Everyone needs to calm down a bit. We have only played 3 competitive matches so far. Our preparation is more advanced than other NPL clubs given we had to start earlier due to OFC Pro League.

If Manny comes back, it will be in July.

But isnt transfer period up to 10th Feb and NPL squad can be serperate from OFC squad...

People are just antsy, justifiably so, because we dont have a solid second keeper and still nto sorted our CB issue after Marshall left.

Im willing to give Swibel a go as a direct replacement for Manny, he seems to have the brains and the runs to feed of Uchida and Pasquali is really really coming of age in this squad... Well see thime up close ina couple of weeks, Ill show patience :)
