Official South Melbourne Hellas thread 🔵⚪

Will be interesting come Sunday when the balcony brigade will have security with them haha. Tell members why you sacked Sinisa stop the bullshit rumours and distractions and come out and be honest and maybe just maybe earn some credit back. Fuck this A League talk and bullshit we can't run an NPL team we definitely would never be able to run an A League team.

Heads have to roll but unfortunately these co presidents think they are untouchable

If the players didnt want him, it would have been openly admitted by the board.

When the president says its because he lost the ofc final, you know its a decision thats come from the top, eveb though thats obviously not the real reason.

Dam even the Berger's sources are saying the coach quit due to payment disputes.

Why are the south board such gyfti?

And yeah that clown guy has officially claimed weeks of no payment forced the coach to walk. Legal action to follow very soon, could get very messy for south, heads will roll, it's certain now.

I’m not a fan of this A League talk all of a sudden popping up to deflect attention away from the main issue. That’s just a smokescreen. We all know the APL doesn’t want South in the A League as we’ve seen this movie too many times. Until I see the APL officially welcome Hellas, I call bullshit.

We are 24-36 hours on from when the news broke late Friday night. Let’s review how this transpired. We get a late night tweet from NPLVIC Pod members that apparently Sinisa has been sacked. Sinisa a little bit later posts on social media that he is no longer Head Coach at Hellas. Radio silence from the club until a non-descript corporate message is posted by the club on Saturday lunchtime. Clearly this has not been managed well, and it proves that not all parts of the organisation were aware of the sacking. Questions remain on whether this was a Board decision? Or has an individual gone off and sacked a Head Coach without consulting the Board or Football Department. If the Football Department was unaware of the sacking and not part of the process, then we are well and truly a laughing stock. Nothing short of amateur hour masquerading as a professional club. The scary thing is that clubs in State League 1 are probably better run than Hellas, and that pains me to write that.

The following questions remain unanswered:
  • Why was Sinisa truly sacked?
  • Was there interference in his day to day management of the playing squad?
  • What review of his performance was taken, if any, to come to this decision?what criteria were applied by whom?
  • Was the Football Department consulted? If not, then we are a mess.
  • Are we liable for paying out contracts of coaching staff to depart the club?
  • Will players seek to depart the club in the midseason transfer window?
  • Will players that have been identified and spoken to in terms of being signed as part of the midseason transfer window now back off and sign with rival clubs?
I don’t even think a fan forum will solve anything as the fans will not take lightly to hearing questionable responses.

I am not confident with the remaining season in having much on field success. What promised so much may turn out to be a self inflicted nightmare.

Lackey proves again the halia he is, paniyiri player, scratch your head selection
Lackay is not up to it. He needs a spell in the VPL to get match time and prove himself. Unless he shows progress and improvement, he’s taking up an unnecessary spot on the roster that could go to a promising Hellas youth player.
