Oliver Lavale has left South Melbourne for the A-League Men, making the move to Central Coast Mariners ahead of the January transfer window.

There are ways to exit and ways to exit, Aguek was the right way and this is yet another example of a player that wasnt for us, but at best a 'comet' looking always beyond US, good luck to him but our roads and support is done for him... we look onwards and upwards with those that have come in and will carry our next phase.

Thanking those twats at CCM mcfranchise for the mention also, as well as the football association for the lack of a domestic transfer system to get us some cash!

Relax re, he was at South for 15 mins.... missed 4-5 one on ones with the keeper, scored a couple of tap ins, let him continue on his merrry way...

He was a handy player. I would have preferred he’d stay, but he was looking to get back into the A League.

He did what he needed to do for us. He helped us win the Australian Championship. All the best to him.
 
I have no ill feeling towards Oli, he was with us for 5 minutes and did well for us. At the end of the day he and Aguek wanted the same things which is to play at a higher level and both departed. Lets not think for a second Pasquali wouldnt follow if he gets an offer before the window closes.

Our challenge is to keep finding these types of players that are hungry and ambitious and will do a job for us.
 
Good luck to both Lavelle and Aguek. Came in did the business and have moved on to bigger and better things. They were never going to stay long term. Hellas have always raided other clubs for 'star' players so can't complain when it happens to us. Would love Sawyer to eventually come back to us.

Sawyer back would be amazing at any stage, but what i see more as a reality would be JA departure (for mcfranchise) from bergers and a raid on the talent there near end of NPL for defence of championship in November.

Would take a hell of a replacement for JA to keep the rest of the players dedicated to the project after he has taken his pick of the litter with him and they are semi decimated.... even if they do qualify!

HOpe they do qualigy over choakleigh though thats for sure!
