I'm sorry for Spurs purely for the Ange factor but I think Frank is up the poop by xmas.
IF they don't get higher up the ladder by then he's doomed I reckon.
Levy seems to have loosened the purse strings a lot more for Franck which should set him up for success, which for me irks because he didn’t really do that for Ange.
I reckon Spurs are either going to have a spectacular season or implode completely... I dont feel like there is any room for middle ground this year..... They could win the EPL and get knocked out of every cup straight sets in the same season... or teh reverse, get to a UCL final and get= relegated in the same year..... Spuds be doing Spud things.

Another potential implosion to keep an eye out for is Manure.... what happens there this year is ANYBODY'S guess.

Frimpong and Kerkez don't forget as well.
Good buys and perfect replacements.
You aint replacing TAA. Not many players of him around.
Only the English & the Italians say he can't defend.

Mate he's the best attacking fullback in world football, he will go another level at Real Madrid.

Kitwally, they aren't huge buys by Spurs mind you, good but nothing great to go wow but hey Frank might get them more cohesive his style of safe play we shall see.

oh look I agree no one can play wingback to midfield like TAA from a backs perspective agreed.
Though either outside back replacements are good players thats for sure just diff styles.

Gordon I would take in a heartbeat over Isaak..... sign him up NOW!!!!!!!!!
tend to agree, Gordon is a mover like a Mane was to a degree, Isak likes to play in the box more than anywhere else like a true 9.
I wouldn't be fussed either way tbh for we have MO on the right and play Gapko on the left IF its Isak.

Your mention of manure, gawd I hope it implodes again thats for sure.

That frontline Salah, Mane & Firmino was the best, they worked for each other & had no midfield (well a running midfield).
That front 3 reminds me of the PSG front 3.

I miss Mane/Bobby times, what players joy to watch with MO.
Bobby was such class, team man - si senor is a fav I was annoyed he took the $$$$'s but his choice.

WTF does Diaz want to go to Bayern ? baffles me, he's asked for the release.
Good 65M to us but like why Luis.

Ekiteki already on the way to HK.
23yrs pretty good looking ahead, watching his highights his footwork/skill is damn impressive, lets see IF he can play as such in the EPL.
Defense is another level to Bundas but he seems talented enough to make his time on the ball.

The Athletic has been talking about a fee ~ £250m.

Alexander Isak could cost £250m to sign. This is why – and who could afford it
www.nytimes.com | by Chris Weatherspoon

Alexander Isak wishing to leave Newcastle United is one thing; working out who could afford to buy him is quite another.

Newcastle hope any serious transfer fee conversation will start at the mind-boggling figure of £150million ($203m). To put that into context, it would make Isak the third most expensive footballer in history, behind Paris Saint-Germain recruits Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

The field of possible destinations looks slim. Even ignoring the football factors, the financials in play are huge and an obvious barrier to entering the Isak market.

Buying Isak for £150m is more like a £171m transfer once we add in some estimated agent fees and, if the buyer is a Premier League club, a four per cent transfer levy. From a profit and sustainability rules (PSR) perspective, spread over a five-year deal, those fees alone would add £33m-35m to a club’s costs.

Then there are Isak’s wages. His exact demands are unknown but given his status as one of the world’s leading players a range of £250,000 to £300,000 a week is far from unreasonable. At that level, the hit to a club would be £15m-£18m annually.

Essentially, it’s fair to say signing Isak would lump £50m in annual costs onto his new club — and that’s just from an accounting perspective. It’s often forgotten that clubs will need to pay the money in cash eventually and, over our hypothetical five-year deal, Isak would probably cost a new suitor more than £250m.

Plainly, that rules a lot of teams out. But can anyone afford it?

the spending door has been going on the years mind you, just that LFC normally have not gone that approach unlike RM/Barca/MU/Chel$ea/Citeh etc......
LFC have more than anything gone for a lower cost great fit ptoential players barring exceptions like going for VVD/Allison.
This summer backed by the $ winning bonus's - smart player movements (as the norm) they have $'s to burn and from latest reports this Isak chase looks to be going forward as well a couple more buys yet.
HOPEFULLY need another CB smart buy back up.
Bayern are paying for Diaz around 75M, we picked him up for 40M.
Its amazing - our accountants are working OT haha
Below is good review of our buying/transfer stampede.

Got to say I'm surprised he wanted this move but it sure is good business for us.......
Can't thank Diaz enough, he played some stellar games especially when we needed some injection in close games.
I have always thought he over played things many times but he sure was effective.
All best in the Bundas Luis, we will always hold you close to us Thanks for your devoted passion and commitment for LFC ! !
