What a load of shit that Wellington didn't get selected!! Absolute crap!!!. How can they let Sth Melb in and not the Nix?.

Shouldn't be the case..... think about it, its a pre-season comp, only barely overlapping with NPL season ... were gonna be fielding squads for 11 months of the year... Its the first and crucial step toward professionalism,... This is a happy day....

Overlap is about 3 months if it runs to June. Not insignificant.

Yeah but it is in "bunches" of games in a hub is it not? I know what you are saying but I feel like it will give us a chance to strengthen our squad purposefully.. Im excited to at least give it a go for a season...

If nothing else, it will mean some new and exciting opposition for a change...

They are talking about a professional league - they wanted someone that could win something and represent Oceania. Wellington fell at the first hurdle.
 
I donā€™t understand how itā€™s possible for South to play in both the NPL and the OFC comp at the same time.

Like would they have a pro team in the Oceania league and the youth team/reserves in the NPL?

Also donā€™t think itā€™s fair that South play NSD either now they are in this comp, otherwise they should let AL teams join the NSD too
