Expansion would need the best from England and NZ to balance out the talent as the gulf in class has widened the past years. It's also down to effective club management.

Conferences somehow work in the NFL and I can live with the novelty of not playing everyone always but the NRL is best when you face every team.
 
The English Super League is expanding from 12 to 14 teams, and the Championship and League 1 (tiers 2 and 3) merging into a new 2nd tier of 20 teams! Some possible similarities with our football system here.

I am expecting a few competitive NRL season.

I am finding hard to argue that a particular team will get the spoon.

This time last year many predicted that the eventual minor priemers Canberra would get the spoon.

Likewise i am finding it hard to be sure that any team can't make the 8.

All we know for sure is 17 teams can't finish in the top 8, 9 teams will eventually miss out.

Improved coaching and just a change of coach should improve the Titians and Kinghts, but they are still the teams most likely to miss the 8.

Baring a bad run of injuries these are my tentative top 8 predictions.

Definate- Broncos and Roosters.
Likely - Penrith, St George, Parra, Dogs, Dolphins
Probable - Tigers, Storm, Warriors, Canberra

One or 2 of the likely teams may just miss the 8, and 2 or 3 of the probable teams may make it.

The reasons for my ratings are my hunches on coaching, talent and depth.

My query on the Storm is mainly about squad depth, and just the fact that they are due for a below par season.

But Storm finishing minor premiers would not totally surpise me.

Dogs have got a tough start to the season and I'm expecting the Dragons in Vegas to be a tough test.

I rate the coaching and the depth at the Dogs which is why i have us probably finishing in the 8.

But a bumpy start to the season, fans panicing, and critics coming out of the wood work, wouldn't surpise me.

Our fans are the original nervous nellies, and we attract critics like a mangnet.

The trial this weekend might cause me to downgrade my Dogs predictions. I expect the young pups to perform well and to justify my estimate of our depth - regardless of the match result.
 
Why do they have betting on NRL trial matches?

How many minutes the coaches decide to give their better players can definately decide the result.
 
Ridiculous new rules that you can play state or origin regardless of your national team. International league is trash with the picking and choosing. State of origin is and must be for Australians only. If you opt out of Kangaroo eligibility then you shouldn't be able to play origin regardless of where you were born.

Why such families are even allowed to exist in western countries that afforded them asylum is an indictment on pussy footing politicians and courts. They should've been crushed long ago. Of course local crims will fill the void but then the authorities can deal with them too. No different to Berlin being run by clans nowadays.

the government know who they all are, but cant do nothing cause this crims are protected by the justice system.

Final post then back to NRL. You can see it now with all the religious holiday ass kissing social posts. Basically like begging for sex. Please sleep with me I'm a white knight.
 
Looking forward to that kicking off although thank goodness my team aren't in that Las Vegas nonsense this season.
