Shit..sorry, always used them both interchangeably/ it’s informally been “soccer” in my family. Maybe once you’ve been calling it that for so many years pre 05, you don’t just change your vocab overnight. To the people who were around the game in this country in the nsl and even pre nsl era, which my family have been, before it was accepted by the mainstream, I get the sense they didn’t really care what the “aussies” called it, they just loved the game

VPL1 fixture has what are probably the main draw fixtures all at the start of the season. Good move as it worked well in 2025 for crowds/weather.

R1: North Geelong vs Knights
R3: North Geelong vs Serbia
R4: Serbia vs North Sunshine
R5: Knights vs Serbia

Should be a good crowd at all of these

PLASTIC. No one supports their main rivals in any competition. I was over the moon in 2003 when Porto beat the tramps in the UEFA cup final in Seville.

Even if the knights manage to get their act together quickly this looks like a super tight division, wouldnt be much splitting the top sides, wont be easy to come straight back, expecting a long fiery season.

Major Media outlets have already penciled those dates in lol.

hopefully there are no restrictions, but well organized from both clubs.

Yes 100% kind of glad Everton won that but lesser of 2 evils ;)

I also said through gritted teeth.
The lesser of 2evils is one, our main #1 rival is manure followed by the Toffs.

Lets move on ol chap were in the local NPL thread - you know the soul Clubs of this strange outpost.
