I agree it’s a politically correct way of saying they want to cut back on wages, but wouldn’t go as far to rule them out of a home and away league personally. Who knows if they have an eye on purchasing some land etc Ala the interview hanlin did with sbs Greek radio etc or maybe just tightening their budget/change of strategy, obviously throwing money at ex a league players hasn’t helped them the last couple of years

it wasn’t that long ago they were regularly challenging, it can be turned around if they get their house in order, it’s not like it’s been a decades long capitulation

Why would the clubs have academy teams in The Australian Championship if it became a home and away stand alone competition?

I've heard it will be a young squad (basically like an A-league Academy). Screams potential relegation to me.

as for ccm/wsw discards is mindboggling - not good enough ?
After all the years SO having YL squads and some minor connect for eg fellow Greek club Ryde Magic they have not unearthed or plucked some very promising youth let alone experienced Snrs to step up to top NPL.
Seriously its baffling.....

Exactly, i expect SD raiders to struggle with the Academy sides as per usual.
