Rumour has it that a sponsor is dropping $500,000 over 5 years for sponsorship in regards to that grandstand. Surely that would be enough to maintain its operating costs.

Heidelberg United the last team to receive charity from South Melbourne in the form of three points because we'll bounce back and get the job done against Caroline Springs George Cross in two weeks' time so we can get our season back on track at the conclusion of OFC Pro League.

Not a great match by Hellas last night. Melbourne City academy team were quick, structured and were tactically better than us. Rather than try and save the match and chase an equaliser, the coach started taking off 5 of our strongest players to protect them for the upcoming OFC Pro League finals next week. Head scratching stuff. We truly are the biggest charity in Australia. We gifted Hume City, Dandenong Thunder, Oakleigh and now Melbourne City academy team. With 3 losses coming up against Heidelberg, George Cross and Avondale, that’s a total of 21 points we’ll voluntarily hand away.

Avondale got the job done 5-2 over Caroline Springs George Cross in their NPL Victoria game, with Bruno Fornaroli scoring a hat-trick of goals in the 27th, 38th and 64th minute of the match.

It baffles me how melb city score against us and you get a clear cheer from a small section of the crowd (parents/family). Yet Oakleigh scores against us and you hear nothing at all, i swear every time Oaks score against South i think its offside or something cos the lack of reaction lol
