Sign Up Now!Anyone, but Sydney Olympic.I know heaps that go for the Roosters.
Agreed the gap from safety keeps on getting bigger for Olympic to climb out
Even Blacktown could be in trouble if it continues
Blacktown City are two points ahead of Sydney Olympic so still have a chance of staying up this season, bearing in mind that both teams play each other again on May 24th but ideally both sides need results to go their way for the rest of the year.Even Blacktown could be in trouble if it continues
This reminds me of what happened in the VFA. This was Victoria's original top end Australian Rules competition before the VFL broke away in 1897.I hope they both stay up.
im sick of these shit Association clubs like St.George FA & SD Raiders in the league along with a University team and those waste of oxygen A-League Academy sides. Just Fuck off already.
That used to be the case for South a decade ago.... Many of the younger generation are now flooding back, or at least willing to give it a go.Anyone, but Sydney Olympic.
Most are embarrassed to be associated with them.
I completely agree more ethnic teams are needed in the top flightI hope they both stay up.

Hopefully Spartans and Bankstown city can get up
Bankstown Yes.
Spartans can fuck off. Another Association grub.
You guys would love it down here. NPL, VPL1 and VPL2 are pretty much a battle of the Balkans with 3 franchises thrown in because they cant afford a youth league.I completely agree more ethnic teams are needed in the top flight

Its not fair on the hundreds of other clubs when they didnt have to start off in state league and get promoted up though.I'm not a big fan of the A-league clubs or association clubs but I can hack them if they earn their way up the pyramid.
My big issue with NPL NSW is only 1 automatic spot up/down. Should be two up/ down and the 3rd place/3rd last can be a playoff. I don't think there is a 16 team league in the world where only 1 goes up/down.
Also should be NPL 4/State League.I'm not a big fan of the A-league clubs or association clubs but I can hack them if they earn their way up the pyramid.

Yea there’s two, “Champaign football” which is an independent one, and “from the gantry” which the official one. If I’m not mistaken the aus championship weekly review show was a collaboration between the vic and nsw showsThe weekly review show is such a great innovation. I am curious if NSW has one?
All the more reason to merge the comps. No more “in Melbourne it’s like this, in Sydney it’s like that”. Pool the resources and have the best of both under one banner. No doubt it would raise standardsYou guys would love it down here. NPL, VPL1 and VPL2 are pretty much a battle of the Balkans with 3 franchises thrown in because they cant afford a youth league.
Difficult in a semi-pro environment. I'm in that space now, I'd have to take days off/half days off to travel to Melbourne every second weekend. All the more reason to merge the comps. Maybe if Olympic had been in regular competition with Hellas and Alexander over the years it would have held them to a higher standard. Likewise Melb Italian clubs if they’d been in regular contact with the likes of Marconi and APIA
Would only be at the top tier, dare say easier to achieve than what they’re aiming for in the aus championship in the event a home and away comp doesn’t end up being doableDifficult in a semi-pro environment. That's the basis of a national second division with the addition of one team from Queensland, South Australia and the ACT. Would be awesome to have South Hobart as well, but they would require TAS Government support, but it is not insurmountable. All the more reason to merge the comps. Maybe if Olympic had been in regular competition with Hellas and Alexander over the years it would have held them to a higher standard and it might never have gotten to this point. Likewise Melb Italian clubs if they’d been in regular competition with the likes of Marconi and APIA
Dont forget the academies get away with not meeting the "criteria" for being in the NPL.You guys would love it down here. NPL, VPL1 and VPL2 are pretty much a battle of the Balkans with 3 franchises thrown in because they cant afford a youth league.
