NPL 2026

yes I hear you Mono.
Ofcourse SBS has alot of ethnic arms that I do enjoy listenning to some but as mentioned there needs to be sub titles I suppose.
The latter greek back ground fams or whatever nato many do not speak the lingo anymore as Katholos mentioned, sub title it pretty easy.
Any Club imo and throw in FNSW or any Fed should be responsible to get more "air" mainstream, again my opinion.
Thats my point mate.... Where is the "normal" media wanting to find out what is happening at Olympic?... SBS Greek is JUST for old Greek people and recent migrants that dont speak English...

Nothing will happen in the agm on april 21

All comes down to katholos agm mid may

150 members will kick them out

Latest rumour is politis is keen to finance the club

Nothing is officially registered so damon will fuk off

Lots of bulshit in the constitution
Damon more keen in paying lawyers and paying tsatsimos to stay quiet

Most of the podcasts have mentioned we havent played the "big" sides yet. Well im sure this result proves it hasnt been a fluke.

you can only play what's in front of you.

Cant wait for the Marconi clash now.
I can see a red card or two happening, it has the feel of that sort of game.

Has he ever had any involvement in football ?
don't think so.

+ edit - obviously us Sydneyites know of Politis.
I actually Hope if true he does prop up SO from the greek migrant perspective.
He's been one of those brilliant migrant stories that built this outpost :)
For those interested - yes he's a NRL ogarlord.

If they go down they won't come back up. Decent players and staff who are the key to coming back up won't stick around. They'll end up like the Bankstown City Lions or Bonnyrigg, perpetually in NPL2 or 3.
Too early to say imo, they’re obviously a bigger club than those ever were. There’s examples of clubs who have had bad eras and turned it around, and clubs who have gone in the other direction. Marconi, Preston, or even Alexander who spent plenty of time in npl 2 turned it around. Remains to be seen what will happen with Melbourne knights. But then you obviously do have clubs who never really turned it around as you say. Mind you remember you it took Preston a decade plus to get their house in order, I don’t know enough about what’s going on at Avala or Bankstown but there’s probably still potential there.

For sure their lack of a solid home base of their own will hurt them even more if they go down. It’s times like those you need to lean on those solid foundations. Still maintain that was probably a factor in the demise of Brunswick Juventus, no assets to fall back on which indirectly lead to the mergers and dilution of the clubs identity

Hey look at StGeorgeFC for an eg here though, talk about taking time to get back up lol......
Relegated way back in '91 !
Hakoah ! - yep we know the background what happened to them and massive changes since, in L1 near bottom of ladder.
BWE as mentioned.
Parra, yer been a lonnnng time down the leagues since those Melita and Power days.

As one has said the ladder now starting to take its shape.
The main consistant is SU - nil loss/draws, well done ! 8 wins and just 6 GA.
Beating Rockdale did make a statement though their GA is 11 !
The 2 pisano's are level pegging 1 loss 1 draw each.
The early bolters StGfc backed by solid defense and 0 GA earlier have since now lost 2/drawn 1 5 goals through their defense in P4.
Spirit is actually hanging in P6.
The Project Sutho has finally sneaked up the ladder a smidge to P9 - tFl has been kicking their butts haha
My ongoing surprise is Manly for all they have languishing in P14 but whoah seeing SO now bottom with 20 GA is a very sorry and desparate state.
Bottom 3 5 games lost on the bounce.
Early days but imagine Raiders survive the drop !

Marconi came back because it was an aberration, I was there the night they went down, whilst a pall of gloom was in the air Marconi have serious money, have dedicated admin and staff and players who want to come back badly ( Marko Jesic was playing for them and still played for them when they went down ) .

Sydney Olympic have none of that, they've been teetering for a long time, I reckon it's the kick in the arse they need. Sometimes you need to suffer and this isn't the A League where shit clubs stay afloat, relegation sorts the wheat from the chaff, as it should.

yep bang on - the true football model.
Either put up or stfu, plain and simple, fail you pay the price.

Exactly. He's hardcore NRL. He chucked a massive tantrum when Sydney FC covered the Roosters ( and Waratahs ) logo at the SFS sometime last year. I just can't see it, he's a ruthless businessman, not one to pumping money into a vacuum.
