NPL 2026

We also started in NPL2, should have been NPL 3, yes. We were then promoted almost instantly so maybe right move by the FA instead of wasting time smashing teams at NPL 3 level.
Every team shouldve started in Npl couldn’t care less about smashing teams at NPL 3 that’s how it should work

Sydney FC and WSW academies I don’t mind in NPL 1 cause they can bring in some crowd but Bulls, CCM and jets can get fkd

I get for players it would make the league seem like a pisstake but for clubs like Manly, Mounty, UNSW etc they get the extra couple hundred that go, makes the game seem a tad more important.

Some of the matches last year felt like the league was designed to keep man children active and off cocaine for 2 hours a week.

I dont think he is that good to be honest.
I think wait and see how Aamir Abdallah runs for Sudan at AFCON when that gets underway, then if he does well he might end up having a good season for Preston Lions as well when NPL season 2026 rolls around.

Don't think that will have much of an effect, judging by previous players doing the same NPL to AFCON to NPL journey.

The thing about Avondale is that they were the biggest chokers after us with Esteban, Zoki has a shit record in finals and if those players couldnt deliver at Avondale where you have no pressure at all im not sure how they will go playing with the pressure of a big supported club. Guaranteed top 3 finish though.
They were a "guaranteed top 3 finish" based on the signings they made preseason this year... just saying.

Some great signings but its a different beast playing in front of a big crowd.

The expectations would be no different but having a 100 v 1k plus on your back would be make or break.

So here's the question.. what's the problem at avondale? Zoki leaves prior to championship then all these players also leave albeit to play for zoki. Aguek left aswell at a couple to gully. Spending big on fornaroli?

Markovski's success at Lions was always gonna have the requirement he brings in players he knows to be able to play the style of football he knows. Not that preston didnt have quality but bc pressure will be on from the very start to get results and he doesnt have the luxury of time to instill his system in new players, his hope would be this all gels properly bc it can go quite wrong of it doesnt.
As far as Avo goes im sure the thought is they can still buy success and will look to that pathway, question is if whatever quality players still remain after this mass exodus will want to continue or will all jump ship. To be fair they have no pressure to win the NPL or care that much to, so i think their focus may even be to rebuild now for the next championship.

What do you think of your coaching staff at Marconi?
Have said in the past that I’m not the biggest fan of the playing style under tsekenis and papoythis. I also don’t like the victim mentality or the dirty/anti football tactics, maybe it served a purpose when they were brought in when the club was at its lowest ebb, but imo it’s not what Marconi has been built on. It’s always been a club known to value playing well as well as winning. But they’ve shown themselves capable of getting results so I think as long as that’s the case it’d be harsh to move them on. I think nick carle being brought in to run the youth development seems a decent appointment

Hard to sack them when they are getting results. Let’s see how they go this coming season with a smaller budget.

Not sure if it is well known but Peter Flea has a fake Facebook profile where he talks a lot of crap. Pretty sad for a man his age.

To use a phrase that you don’t hear very often these days, he carries on like a pork chop at times. I’m telling you, these guys have genuinely convinced themselves there’s a conspiracy against them. You should have heard him when he got sent off at the APIA v Marconi game in the championship

Coaches arent there to be nice guys

Tseka flee get results doesnt matter how .

Well structured players give 100 per cent and want to play

Every were they go they win trophies

Can anyone confirm if this is an updated roster or not?
Feels a bit weird given that their news/socials haven't been updated, but Makko has been confirmed and names like Eremugo have no record of playing for Raiders in the past - always hard to tell with club websites
