what a fail it will be for Bankstown if they dont get promoted.

Their wage bill is bigger than 3 quarters of NPL1 teams.

Only Marconi, APIA, Rockdale & Sutherland might have bigger wage budgets.

It would be an absolute disaster if they don’t get promoted

It would be good if they do though more rivalries in Npl 1 instead of the tinpot clubs we have now

i've said it many times before, they are arrogant and feel they are god's gift to NPL.

The Federation put Sydney FC straight into NPL1 when they should of started at the bottom tier. CCM & WSW started in NPL2 when it should of been NPL3 and it was only when the NPL clubs complained they but Newcastle Jets in NPL3.

We expanded the league to accommodate more of them to be in NPL1. Extra teams, means extra games, more $$$ on wages etc.

They take our best youth players, free of charge.

The A-League started without us ex-NSL, NPL clubs, so why do you need to be in our league now? Why, because the NYL wasn't financially viable? That's not our problem.

Agree, but I wouldn't claim that currently as a "waste of oxygen".

Yeah I thought this wouldn't be an issue when teams should've departed for the NST and brought the numbers down again, but it looks like that's not happening for the next five years. What's the ideal number in the divisions, 14? That would leave five clubs at the bottom without a home in the top three tiers. I think they want to keep those clubs.

Because it's better quality than playing against other kids. The results are there. A NYL in addition to NPL would be fine, but not instead of NPL, that would be terrible for the country.

Reckon hes had 1 decent season at Hume and thats about it. Was underwhelming last season and was below par in the championship as well. Think he is over hyped but he will have better players around him now.
 
The thing about Avondale is that they were the biggest chokers after us with Esteban, Zoki has a shit record in finals and if those players couldnt deliver at Avondale where you have no pressure at all im not sure how they will go playing with the pressure of a big supported club. Guaranteed top 3 finish though.

They certainly choked against us in that amazing 4 3 victory we had over them in 2022.

But I still think you’re overplaying the choker tag

Lost to dandy city at home 1-0 in semi this season and to us in dockerty cup semi

Lost 3-0 at home to oakleigh in 2024 semi.

They left a couple of trophies on the table imo.

We also started in NPL2, should of been NPL 3, yes. We were then promoted almost instantly so maybe right move by the FA instead of wasting time smashing teams at NPL 3 level.
