NPL 2026

A footballers career is short. Need to do whatever they need to do to set themselves up in life.
As I’ve said in the past, especially at this level/in Australia where they’re not millionaires they’re just normal middle class blokes paying their bills like the people watching them in the stands

They should also stop kissing the badge when they take photos and celebrate goals.
I happened to be watching an old re run of a Sydney united v Marconi match at edensor in the late 90s, chad gibson scored for Marconi and kissed the badge..just looks stupid..come on man, as if you care about the club, so obviously performative/copying what they see players do in South America etc

Tomoki Wada - Sydney United

Jack Armson & Teng Kuol from Olympic to Marconi
Good signing for united

Rockdale didn’t want to sign him apparently so you already know he’s gonna play out of skin against us

Its semi professional football lol.

They should stop buying bags of coke, and luxury items if they want to set themselves up in life.

So what if it is semi pro? People need pay bills.

Not sure what your drug comment is all about. Very irrelevant.

If some decide to spend their money on stupid things, it doesn't mean the rest of them shouldn't get be paid more. Imagine saying that for any other career.
No one in NPL should be getting $1500 a week. My point still stands, loyalty is dead, and we have overpaid players in a semi professional league who snort half their pay cheques and complaining they should get more money.

I blame the clubs for giving them that amounts of cash.

Players are worth whatever someone is willing to pay them.
