NPL 2025

The ones near the players race were out of control.
Serious questions should also be asked of the choice of self policing, apart from instigating feom the get go and their antics on te near side, no way that stuff gets through without their consent! The good thing about segregation is that the home team cant wear any blame for these away supporter antics and FV can sanction those responsible!

As for the game, the typical war you'd expect it to be, aside from the goals that were scored Preston had 2 big moments, the header in the 1st half and Jeggos miss late to equalise 2-2, heidelberg missed a good chance to make it 3-0 with a Lesiotis shot just wide, not much else in terms of goalmouth action.

Preston were good and Heidelberg are clearly getting tougher games from npl opposition compared to what some of the toothless A league sides have dished up.

Lesiotis man of the match for mine, incredible performance.

The African players from Bergers should of not gone over to the Preston fans to celebrate.
If you watch the replay they stop well before the fence. I agree in general because its not like they're some tinpot club with 0 supporters but the reaction from that pocket was bad.

Plus when Preston scored they launched just as many flares onto the field.

Another thing, that was the most "ethnic" match i've attended in years, 90% of the chants had nothing to do with football, people smoking everywhere was also a put off.

I know South gets a bit of flack from within the community for not being "Greek enough" anymore but im glad nobody chants that nonsense at our games and its more about supporting the team.

Similar sized crowds when South hosted Preston compared to last night but give me the lakeside atmosphere anyday, trumpet and actual South related chants, chants for players etc.

Preston might be in a bit of trouble for their fans
Was at the game all the blame will be on preston but heidelberg fans were almost just as bad and deserve just as much punishment. They lit flares first, threw flares first, and had racist chants, and broke rules regarding national flags and whatever...

You re full of shit mate..
1. What flares the one smoke one that stayed in the stand? Was that first? Did preston fans not light them at outside, and at the gate and inside? Thats what your comparing to flares thrown at players and officials? Or the later ones thrown at the side near the kids behind the goals! Do tell....
2. What flags are we comparing? The banner that read we are your fathers? The star of vergina which is not allowed bc its a protected greek flag yet raised Or The Preston official who was antagonising holding up the bullshit scarf on the pitch as they pushed on the fencing enticing them? Show me the massive array of greek flags on the oppoaite side you claim? Go on for those of us that were actually there!
3. As for the chants you claim (first) may i remind you the primary chant in question is the main one heared vs all other greek clubs the one relating to turks, bc till that point the only chant heard on the opposite end was 'alexander' was it not?

Dont know what game you were at but it sure as fuck wasnt this one!!

This shit needs accountability not apologists!

Oh christ I only saw the flares thrown on half time, just seen another bunch before full time.

The African players from Bergers should of not gone over to the Preston fans to celebrate.

I didn't see any Bergers players anywhere near the Preston fans in the 83rd minute when said fans threw projectiles on the pitch.

A kick in the guts for the league. Hopefully there's a heavy points deduction going into next season. Zero tolerance.

Flares on the field when we scored was proper stupid stuff (from a self-sabotage perspective). Wasting time when we're still down a goal
It was probably from the same idiots in the 1st half, ideally thats when they get thrown out and the game can continue without disruption. I agree it didnt help the team, you want the game restarted fast whilst the team has momentum.

100%, could have been way worse. No violence no fights and that is for sure the most important issue avoided.

Tbh in people’s eyes in Aus, I reckon they deem ethic based chanting as worse than a punch on.

Went to the game stood in the Preston side, first of all fencing this side with temporary fencing was just plain ridiculous, felt like a throwback to the 80s, big crowd and the viewing experience was poor especially for the Preston fans. As for the flares throwing them on the pitch at players and officials was just plain stupidity and again from a small section of fans.
For a progressive club that ground needs some serious upgrading the covered stand at the Preston side is way to far back and completely empty because the view is awful.
Finally the game itself thought the best team won no questions. Heidelberg bossed the game in all departments especially the midfield they are really on top of their game at the moment.
Just my thoughts as a neutral 😉
