Sign Up Now!Jessika Nash, Shelby McMahon and Daniela Galic definitely, and Annalise Rasmussen if she can get game time at Juventus next season but Skye Halmarick would be one to watch also.Development > Galic, Rasmussen, Nash, McMahon etc etc

Still no room in your team for Gomez? Admittedly she has only featured for a few minutes but there must be a reason why she’s getting called up.Jessika Nash, Shelby McMahon and Daniela Galic definitely, and Annalise Rasmussen if she can get game time at Juventus next season but Skye Halmarick would be one to watch also.
Skye Halmarick has the potential to make it for the Matildas at senior level and Shelby McMahon is also unproven outside of the Tillies farm system but she has previous experience playing continental football which should still suffice similar to Tete Yengi at the Socceroos.Halmarick is unproven at senior level, pace is different. Izzy Gomez has heaps of potential and is going to make the Matildas playing list heading into future major tournament cycles.Still no room in your team for Gomez? Admittedly she has only featured for a few minutes but there must be a reason why she’s getting called up.
I will keep reminding you.Izzy Gomez has heaps of potential and is going to make the Matildas playing list heading into future major tournament cycles.
Izzy Gomez may well be on the plane to Brazil come June next year but we will still be at the mercy of Montemurro and Heather Garriock with regards to the Matildas selection policy continuing to favour Emily van Egmond in midfield.I will keep reminding you.![]()
Just try and shed light on why coaches select some players that fans can tend to scapegoat.I think he was saying that we don't know what factors and relationships a coach sees and considers outside game day that enhance the team.
Factors well beyond the skills on show.
Totally relevant and I am happy to admit I don't know the half of why any coach chooses one player over another when I can clearly see they have made a mistake picking them. I am also happy to admit that I know my opinion but also know it is just my opinion and as often foolhardy as foolproof.
Fuck me dead, I am glad I have the freedom to be wrong because my opinion is based on my experiences.
The good thing, is I am always correct in knowing if I have an opinion and subsequently what that opinion is.
The trouble is that Decentric's form of writing often makes us ignorant and uncertificated followers of the game sound like we are untrained monkeys not realising that the TV screen has stuff going on behind it to produce those images without that necessarily being his intention.
I look forward to your analysis.Just missed it! Have seen the 3 Aus goals, and will have a look at the replay when it appears on Paramount.
She’s quite young so she’s still got plenty of time. I’d probably put her above Sally though.GK imo

Melegh I don’t think cracks top 7 yet
Obviously agree.Vanegmond has got to go
No. She plays consistently for Brighton and shouldn’t be judged based on one game. I don’t think she starts yet but she should definitely be in the squad.Rule also should be dropped.
They definitely shouldn’t start but they’re good for depth.Rankin + Siemsen also offer too little.
Mini’s heading towards the end of her career but the others definitely should come back. Sharn needs to stop getting injured while Charli and Cort need game time. Clare and Kyra are starters. Charli could compete for the starting left back role depending on whether we play Steph at LB or CB. If Steph’s LB then it’ll be her, Wini, Clare and Ellie. If she plays CB it’ll be Charli/Nevs, her, Clare and Ellie. Ellie’s completely locked in, she’s best right back in the world. To come back > Gorry, Hunt, Cooney-Cross, Grant, Freier, Johnson, Vine?
Mckenna + Gomez developing.
Definitely agree here. The first four should be at the World Cup and the first two should be pursuing bigger opportunities (plus Dani could probably upgrade from Vittsjö). Jess needs more consistent game time at Sassuolo (and Sassuolo need to stop shitting the bed defensively) while Shelby’s one for the future. Lexi would be another one I’d watch, I rate her quite highly.Development > Galic, Rasmussen, Nash, McMahon etc etc
In the staff’s eyes it’s cause you need at least 20 outfield players in a squad, and obviously Michelle Heyman and Tameka Yallop are done, two regulars aren’t getting game time and we’ve got three other injuries.Still no room in your team for Gomez? Admittedly she has only featured for a few minutes but there must be a reason why she’s getting called up.

In my eyes though she 100% deserves her spot and should be accompanied with similar players of a similar age. When we rotated against Chinese Taipei in Geelong we saw the younger girls really work together quite well, which I think opened a lot of our eyes given the older players haven’t always played well together as a team despite their individual talents.
